We really enjoyed our stay at FADL KATO, with a beautiful location over looking the Nile, and a very accommodating host who helped us a lot by recommending restaurants and places to go to on the island and booked for us transportation to Abu Simbel and other trips. Very very good cultural experience! I just feel so pity like we stay here for only one night and speak to our landlord only two times. Crying!!!!! Cry!!!!

The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. The owner is a friendly and welcoming person. he welcomed us and picked us up from Abu Simbel airport for free. it was a pity to stay only 1 night. I recommend to stay at least 2 nights to enjoy Abu Simbel temple at night and also the sunrise boat ride with view of the temple. breakfast was also great. You take a small boat to go to Aswan which takes 1 minutes and costs 10-15 cents. Very well maintained rooms which amazing view to the Nile river. And the restaurant at the hotel I will admit had the best food that we tried in Egypt and in really good prices as well. Overall the best choice we made in our trip and booked this hotel.

Nile View is a friendly, familial atmosphere (almost all of the staff are extended family) with nice, clean rooms and really an amazing view. It's an incredibly peaceful place to stay, yet only a short distance from the bustle of central Aswan. From the guesthouse you can see Kitchener Island, Qubbat al-Hawa, the Tombs of the Nobles, the Monastery of Anba Hedra, and the Mausoleum of the Agha Khan. There's lots of good bird-watching. The kitchen produces very nice food with fresh ingredients—most of them grown on the island itself. The staff are laid-back, friendly, and nice to talk with. The guesthouse owns a couple boats, and there's always someone around who can give you a lift to the west bank or—if you don't want to walk to the ferry—to one of the Aswan docks. (I haven't been asked for specific sums of money for using the boat, and occasionally a captain has been surprised that I offered money, but you really should expect to pay for this—it's not part of the included hotel service.)
