Saw a lot of scam along the road (places we almost stayed at!!) but the black beach suites appartement was a lucky pick! Highly recommend.

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast.

Guesthouse Bitra B&B’s simple rooms have either private or shared bathroom facilities. They provide views of Mount Hekla or the surrounding countryside. I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the excellent breakfast included. Overall, I would highly recommend Bitra Guesthouse to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Selfoss. This hotel is set on a farm within the Golden Circle Region, 15 minutes’ drive from Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs. It offers horse riding during the summer season, traditional cooking and a geothermal outdoor hot tub. Everything was just great. Location, staff, food, cleanness. Thanks, we will be back.
