The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Also it had plenty of space so you didn’t feel cramped in space. The bed was very comfortable. The location is awesome, just a 5 minutes walk away from the main road, where plenty of restaurants and coffees can be found. The hotel is in front of the beach, where you can see beautiful sunrises (if the weather allows :)) What we have enjoyed a lot is the terrace next to the room. We spent hours sitting there listening to the waves of the sea and bird sounds. We have been able to see many kind of different types of birds, like toucans, parrots and humming birds. Besides the location, the owners Carmen and Angelo, are very helpful, lovely and kind persons. Always good communication and they made everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We have also booked different trips with Angelo aka Eagle-Eye (motorized boat trip for animal watching along the canals, canoe tour through the canals of the national park and a day walk through the natural park). He is an amazing animal spotter and has also a lot of knowledge about animals and nature.

really lovely apartment in a quiet location. the garden actually overlooks the nature reserve. we saw frogs, iguanas, capuchins and 2 anteaters just sat on the verandah outside the apartment. the apartment was very clean and well equipped. the hosts Adriana and Rodrigo were very friendly and Adriana showed us the wildlife in the garden. Fabian, who works for the hosts, took us on a wonderful canoe trip along the river and channels and pointed out loads of wildlife. he's very knowledgeable and also so friendly. he also took us on a walk through the reserve, which was really interesting and pointed out so much wildlife, he's so enthusiastic, it was a joy to accompany him. you can arrange tours with him through the accommodation.

    This was very affordable accommodation and a central location next to a supermarket and a short walk from the dock. The facilities were clean and well looked after. On our second night there were three groups and we all had our own rooms rather than them putting us into a shared 6 bed dorm.

    If you want somewhere authentic, in the local village with great hosts Gloria and Sergio, do not hesitate to book here. Very clean, quiet, ideally situated. We did the night walk/boat with Gloria and Sergio which was amazing, definitely worth doing. If you need a taxi boat or want to do a tour of the canals, go through Owen, their friend. The traditional breakfast was delicious.

The room was very clean, has everything you need and it was nice to cool off with the AC in between all the great activities/nature/wildlife Tortuguero has to offer. The restaurant across the street offers a beautiful view to enjoy with a tasty drink or two.

    It’s a beautifully presented apartment and was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic- in the centre of the Main Street. We used Budda Cafe - directly opposite and waterside. The quality of everything we had from there was excellent.

    Nice location amd cheap, compared to other facilities. Easy to book trips in the park. Staff spoke good english. We booked for 4 nights, but this appeared to be a bit long, so we decided to leave 1 night early, this was refunded without question. 24/7 tea facility in the common area, 2 periods per day free coffee 8-10 and 15-17.
