The staff were really friendly from the moment we got there until the moment we left! The room was lovely, clean, tidy, well stocked and equipped. Information about parking, check in/out, restaurant was all really clear. The Bowling Green was superb, friendly and organised staff and the food was superb

The location was excellent in a quiet, charming village. The property is surrounded by lovely walks which you can do without having to drive anywhere. There is also a great range of walks within a 30 minute drive radius to see some of the tourist attractions of the peak area. The view from the garden deck is also really nice, perfect to enjoy in the morning or after a long walk. Kevin was a great host and very accommodating.

Great property - very clean and well presented. Kitchen had all the equipment required. Whilst the parking isn't off street, we found plenty on the street outside. Visited Alton Towers X2 and Dovedale. I would describe the location as closer to Uttoxeter than Ashbourne but this worked well for us. Pub within stumbling distance and nice running routes around the village. We'll visit again for future Alton Towers visits.

    Location is spot on in the middle of town but with that comes the parking issue. Overnight parking is cheap at £1 but you have to move by 8am or pay the next tariff. (Parking downsides - see below). Lots of restaurants, bars and other facilities you would expect in a small town centre inc a supermarket not far away. Once checked in you can then move your car to a free public location about 1/2 mile away.

    Would highly recommend Lilimae Barn, we had a wonderful stay here with our 2 children and booked it as it was near to Alton towers. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and ideal for us all. We’ll definitely be back!

    Bed was very comfortable, all very clean & modern. Induction hob was easy to use once we were shown how to use it & all the pots & pans supplied worked on it. Walk-in Shower was easy to use. Easy access to the pub & the food was very well cooked & reasonably priced. Overall an excellent location for Dovedale & Ilam. We throughly enjoyed our visit & the staff were very friendly & keen to help.
