Our stay at the Portsalon cottage was delightful. We were a cross-generational group of 11, ranging in age from 4 to 72, and the house accommodated us perfectly. The space is thoughtfully designed, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kids were thrilled to have their own bedroom, and all the beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our large group. The layout made cooking a breeze, and we enjoyed gathering around the extra large table for family meals. Location-wise, the cottage couldn’t have been better. A short, easy walk took us to a stunning beach. With the car, we ventured out on day trips to Dunfanaghy, Derry, and Fanad Lighthouse. The scenery in this area is absolutely beautiful. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The location is second to none. The sea is literally lapping up below the balcony, and that is the sound you fall asleep to every night. I spent lots of time on the balcony with my baby in his paddling pool. The balcony gets the sun from early morning to the evening time. Heaven!

Comfortable en-suite bedroom in a house with amazing tea and coffee selection. Very easy to check-in, and brilliant value for a night in the area. Close to LetterKenny and the Glenveagh National Park, there are also a few pubs and restaurants about 9 minutes away. Parking available outside the house and beautiful drive in the area.

The four of us absolutely loved our stay and all wished we could have stayed for longer. We definitely hope to return. This is a beautiful property finished to an exceptionally high standard with stunning views. Clean, well kept, everything we needed. Lovely comfortable bed. Hot tub an added bonus. Dog friendly which is why we were there. Would recommend to anyone. Had a very relaxing time and the weather was perfect, no rain and little wind. Hard to believe for Donegal but such a lovely break away. Thanks.

Recently renovated and refurbished to an absolutely amazing standard. This place is awesome. Decor, facilities, food and especially the staff — all awesome. You won’t find better in the world’s best 5 or 7 star hotels. Special mention for Omar whom we met on arrival and again at breakfast. Only recently started his job this young man just has “it” …. An exceptionally personable and authentic individual without ever being intrusive. And the food - dinner and breakfast - stunningly delicious and beautifully presented without being fussy.

When we arrived it was so simple to get the keys. We went straight for the Jacuzzi to make use of our time slot. The VIP area is class and the bottle of Prosecco for us out there was a lovely touch. It has a lovely working shower and Netflix on the tv. We ordered a takeaway to the cottage and got ready for our night out in Buncrana. Would definitely recommend ⭐️
