Really close to Assisi, but located in beautiful, peaceful, quiet countryside. It's set in an olive grove with fantastic views across the valley or up into the hills. The room was great and the bathroom modern. Breakfast was good and there are restaurants available locally. What a great place.

Fantastic location in the very center of Assisi, simple but beautiful Italian design inside, very friendly members of staff, easy to reach by car, very good breakfast. It is highly recommend to take a room with a view, you will not regret it.

This is an exceptional accommodation right in the middle of Assisi. The owner was a delight and very helpful in regard to my questions l had. Communication was also of high quality through Whatsapp.The facilities are clean and very tastefully done. I would recommend highly.

Staying at Sottoassisi - Guest House was an exceptional experience. The location is ideal — right in the historic center of Assisi, close to major landmarks like the Basilica of Saint Francis, yet quiet and peaceful for a restful stay. The guest house is full of charm, with beautifully preserved details and modern amenities. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.

    The location was more than great, just a few meters from 'La Via degli Ulivi', beautiful trail to get to Assisi and Spello. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices with lots of homemade products as well! Not to mention the friendliness of the owners! And the hall with the fireplace!

    Beautiful, quiet location, very close to Assisi. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and relaxed staff who were available if needed but otherwise were not around. Lovely pool area and dinner. Note that is a bit of a steep winding road up to the property.
