Worth every cent! What an experience! I wasn't sure at first (as I had the whole responsibility on me to decide for the group I was with) and if you're on a budget like we were, well this is a spend ..BUT..so happy I booked Ryokan Sumiya Kihon. As a tattooed group we had to rent private. It was hilarious to be butt naked with your best friends and ridiculously relaxing. The food is delicious. Breakfast= huge but Dinner = a little small for our crew. (Spanish/Australian mix). It's fine. Just bring snacks ;).

We loved the location this hotel is right next to the Kameoka station only a 30 min ride to Kyoto and 15 mins to the Bamboo Forest-Saga Arishiyama station. Perfect and beautiful in the mountains here. We loved it!

Super clean and spacious. The host are very nice and thoughtful young couple. I needed a pet friendly for a reason. They even prepared and provide a pet feeding bowl and pet wipe etc to care my dear pug. I will recommend this place to anyone. The accomodation is located 15-20 minutes walk from Kameoka station which is probably about 20 min from Kyoto. Also communication is great. They will responds very quickly.

Great location, 10min walking to the bamboo forest and temple. Get there early, this makes a big difference in crowd sizes in these very touristic places. We spent two nights at the cafe Sharehouse and it was an amazing experience. As for the location it is close to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (like 10 mins walk). It has an amazing river close by where you can run and also an onsen which is must go place during your stay at the sharehouse. We had a very warm welcome from the host and a little morning talks which were always refreshing and interesting. There is a bus stop and the metro station in 1-2 mins from the cafe and you can get anywhere in Kyoto by means of them. We went to the cafe sharehouse directly from Tokyo and it was so nice to finally chill in a family environment, away from the chaotic lifestyle. Thank you very much 💕 I hope I will be back pretty soon ☺️

    Wonderful Ryokan - serene location with onsen which was fabulous . Good sized room . Staff were lovely and the full Japanese breakfast was ‘different ‘ but an amazing experience . Dressing gown , slippers and traditional clothing provided which added to making it a unique Japanese experience . Shuttle service to and from the station is also a big plus and extremely helpful.

    The staff is lovely and accomodating. Both the private bath, public onsen and private onsen are refreshing and outdoors. The food is amazing and the portions were great. Very quiet location and rooms feel very private.

    good location which is close to san-in lineKameoka.station,just 2 min walk. Breakfirst is included with both Japenese and westen style. public shower is provided, very clean. About 10 min' train to Saga arashiyama. supermarket AEON is just few min walk from the station. Good value for money,and definetely recomend
