I loved it here, we stayed for 7 nights and I was sad to leave. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, with a terrace and hammock, the location is fantastic, the food is great, and the family that runs the place was lovely, they arranged everything for us and were very very friendly!

The room was quite big, the bed very comfy and the bathroom clean. I didn't have a view on the river but I was only meters away from it. The guesthouse is made of little bungalows, really nice. You can rent bicycles but I would strongly recommend you go early and ask for a good one that you book for your whole stay otherwise they have a collection of bicycles in questionable shape. Everybody uses a bike on the island. They also provide ATM and currency exchange services at an extra fee. I compared with other places around the island, their price is good.

Wonderful guest house in dondet island, the location of accommodation is facing to river and sunset view in our room have A/C, Hot shower and balcony with hammock where we can see the most beautiful sunset view, they have free pick up from the pier but we walk to see the island and it's not too far from pier to accommodation about 5 minutes and they have bicycles for rent 1 day 30,000 kip or 1.5 dollars, next to our accommodation there is good restaurant they serve good food same owner and they very friendly family thank you for your help and hope we meet you again

This was the best stay I’ve had while traveling down through Laos from Luang Prabang. Totally recommend it to everyone! Alex and Leymon are super friendly. they even helped arrange a ride to Don Det and were quick to reply to messages before I arrived. Especially, Leymon’s Asian food was amazing, honestly as good as what I’ve had in the actual countries. Can’t wait to try it again! Between meals we played cards, chatted, and hung out with their dogs and cats—such a chill vibe. The room was clean and comfy, with a soft bed, towels, and shampoo. The shower has an open ceiling, so you might notice it when it rains, but it didn’t bother me at all. Loved the whole experience!

Amazing stayed! The accommodation location is in sunset side, not far from the pier 5 minutes walk the guest house is far from the motor bike road too so it's more quiet for us, don't looking for luxury we highly recommend

Best Guesthouse in Don Det. Beautiful house directly at the river front. Cute balconies with hammocks, seperated from each other with wodden gitters to not restrict the view. Super clean. Very friendly owner. She arranged both of our transfers and everything went perfectly. The location was perfect, 5 min walk to the city centre but quiet for the evenings.

    Riverside wonderful location and very large room but moved over to Nongsak g/house since stayed 20 days and it was a lot cheaper. Kettle and coffee in rooms nice plus.

    Location right on the river was fabulous. A great sized verandah with furniture was ideal to watch the world go by, locals fishing and children playing in the river. Very close to places to eat The aircon worked well. Breakfast was simple but we enjoyed it at their restaurant 50m away. If the score was based solely on location and view - 10!

    The back bungalow (not on the riverside) was lovely and spacious, good value for the price. There is a nice terrace to hang out. Good bicycles for rent, for a cheap price. Really nice vegetarian options in their menu. We ended up staying for 10 nights :) location is very nice, a short walk/bicycle ride to the falls, the beach or Don Det.

    I liked the spacious room and bathroom (where the shower is hot with quite good pressure and NOT over the toilet which seems to be a Lao speciality!) The air conditioning was very much needed and welcome. I enjoyed the spacious communal balcony with chairs and hammock and the solidity of the structure. Great location near shops and restaurants and where the boats arrive. Great bikes for hire at a cheap price. Friendly, helpful owner and family.
