We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

We had a great time…. The place is just amazing.. We wanted to spend a few days to have a rest before another exploring of Sri Lanka… You have to take a boat (5 min) to get to the beach - very good spot for kiting…. We travel with our 8 years old son, so spent couple nice days at the beach. Room was spacious and clean… our special thanks is to Ansalis and Madushan who took an extraordinary care of us and made our stay unforgettable. Bur the whole staff was very friendly and helpful with anything…. THANK YOU 😃

Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. What we loved the most: - The place. everything in this hotel is breathtaking. The swimming pool, the rooms, the garden have a charm that make it so special. - The food. A special huge thanks to the talented chef that offered us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. You deserve a big reward for your job. - The people. Dili and Roshan and their family where treating us as their family members. We felt immediately at home at their place. We enjoyed fantastic meals prepared in their own little restaurant. Each meal was prepared with passion! The last evening we enjoyed at a festival together what was a very special moment for us to dive into Sri lankian culture. The name of this hostel truly reflects the place—it is a paradise. It’s a pity this location isn’t more frequented because it’s a fantastic spot, surrounded by coconut palms and charming huts. The owner, Malik, is an excellent host who speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. Since there were only four of us staying, he generously offered each of us a private room for the same price as a dormitory bed. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and they also provide towels, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast is included, and they offer a restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Additionally, they can arrange various activities in the area. While recent storms have damaged some facilities and the access road—possibly explaining the lower number of visitors—the place remains well-maintained, clean, and conveniently close to both the beach and Kalpitiya Dutch Fort. Day and night, this place offers the perfect tranquility to disconnect from the world and relax. The restaurant terrace has board games, books, and even a lovely cat to keep you company. I highly recommend this hostel—it’s affordable, well-managed, and offers excellent service.
