We had the pleasure of staying at Highgrove Estate in Labugalla, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The property is nestled amidst the most beautiful natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views of lush green landscapes and majestic mountains. The sunsets at Highgrove Estate are nothing short of spectacular. It's the perfect spot to unwind and witness nature's beauty unfold before your eyes. The meticulously maintained garden provided an ideal setting to enjoy a leisurely cup of tea while taking in the serene atmosphere. What truly sets Highgrove Estate apart is its exceptional staff. The team was not only courteous but seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our comfort was truly remarkable. The food at Highgrove Estate was consistently excellent, and they were more than accommodating when it came to our dietary requirements. Mr. Fernando and his team were always available to assist, yet they managed to do so without ever being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our privacy. If you're seeking a vacation that promises complete relaxation in a dreamlike and tranquil environment, Highgrove Estate is the perfect destination. In just four days, we were able to shed the year's worth of work-related stress. We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise and reunite with Mr. Fernando and his wonderful team. A nice big room with a comfortable bed and views out over the outskirts of the town and onto the tea plantations. There's also a common area with sofa and dining table. Breakfast that was included in the room price was good typical Sri Lankan. I also had an evening meal on both nights which was ok and saved me going into town but wasn't great if I'm honest. Location is around 15 minutes walk to Lovers Leap waterfall. And there's a bus stop a few minutes walk away where buses are every few minutes and cost 35 rupees in to the town centre.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The host family were so welcoming and kind, and helped us with planning our holiday, not just in Nuwara Eliya but all over Sri Lanka. They also introduced us to a great guide for hiking and transport to Ella. The house and room are exactly as described, the bed really comfortable and the shower the best we experienced in our whole trip.

Very nice and friendly owners! We went on a tour to Horton Plains, everything was perfect. The room is big, the breakfast is very tasty. We also were picked up and dropped off at the railway station in Nanu Oya, very hassle free for us.

    Wonderful home with courteous staffs. Food was awesome. Mr Johnson was very helpful and accomodative to all our request. They even made a sweet balloon decorations and prepared a cake for my parents anniversary.. We were all truly touched. The house was very clean, comfortable beds & clean linens & towels being replaced everyday. It was more like a home away from home.
