I loved my stay at this place. I came here after a rough day and as soon as I arrived I forgot about it and felt very warm welcomed from this family. Everything is clean, the beadroom and washroom is big. There‘s also a terrace where you can enjoy sunset and the delicious breakfast and dinner (you can get it there for a good price and it’s homemade by the family). If you like nature and silence, this is the perfect place. The owner also helped me out to plan my next stepps and told me some nice places - thank you for that! I enjoyed my stay a lot and would hardly recommend this place - I would love to come back!

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The place is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos, with a charming and cozy atmosphere. The owner was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us, especially when we decided to rent a scooter. His support made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!

I had a perfect stay at The Clouds Resort Kadugannawa. The location offers a stunning view—absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. Every detail of the resort was just right, making it a truly relaxing experience. A special mention to Amjaad for his excellent service—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The owner was also very involved and genuinely cared about guest comfort, which made us feel well looked after. Great service, beautiful surroundings, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place! Everything was superb. From the incredible staff who anticipated my every need, to the delicious food and the variety of activities in the area. I was truly surprised by how wonderful the place was. The property is not only perfect for those who appreciate comfort, but also for those looking to explore the nearby cultural sights. Wow, I really recommend this place. The owner was super super helpful and really nice. I never had an experience like this before. It was our first night in Sri Lanka and he helped us with transportation (we came by public bus). He told us where to go etc. The room was really nice. He borrowed us an adapter extra blanket and also a mosquito net. We were with him to elephants, bets and waterfall. All the time he asked us if we needed something. Even after accommodation he told us that he will help us if we need it. We also got pick up from the bus station.

The first stop in Sri Lanka for me, my wife and our 17 months year old was Green Leaves Garden and we can highly recommend it! This was a really good way to get to know Sri Lankan culture. Anushka, the host, is such a nice and genuine person and he will help you with everything. We got to eat wonderful local food cooked by his family (if you eat vegan/vegetarian it's not a problem, in fact the opposite), go on hiking, visited different tempels, did a jeep safari, went to a herbal garden, a biological garden, a tea factory, even visited a funeral and got to know his wonderful family and friends. If you want to see elephants we really recommend you to see them in their natural habitat on a safari instead of visiting other places such as the orphanage (when we did research, several sources witnessed of the elephants being mistreated). Anushka picked us up from the airport and drove us to our next destination in Weligama after seven days. He even helped us with a missing bag from the airport. On our trips we always had interesting conversations about Sri Lankan history and current affairs and he was a professional guide on the different activities. We lived in a "simple" mud house which was very common back in the days. The room was spacious, had three double beds, a refrigerator, bathroom and air conditioner. We were in Sri Lanka for 30 days and spend seven days here and it was a great decision. If you want to get to know the real Sri Lanka, learn about it's culture and get new friendships, this is a great way to do it!

    It was a wonderful experience in this cabin. The place is fully equipped and well maintained. The host Mr Sisira is a wonderful person and helped us many ways during whole stay. Amazing location plus close to Kandy town and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. If anyone is interested in hiking, there is a view point Saradiel Rock close by. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel free with nature. We would be very happy to come back someday!
