This is the second time I stayed in this place. As usual, I find this place is safe and private, clean,safe and welcoming. It is good value for money. Also easier for travel arrangement to get done. The host is helpful if you need further assistance, help, preparation.

Neat and clean and good communication

Magnificent location, private and peaceful boutique getaway with large bathrooms and large, well-appointed clean rooms with extra large comfy beds. Our room had a private 360' view of rainforest, coconut plantation and the pool. Excellent traditional Sri Lankan and Western food. Attentive and cheerful manager and staff (who spoke English and helped me with my Sri Lankan!) The staff even found my husbands wedding ring! Take a cool walk through well maintained rainforest tracks and hotel gardens or relax in the natural rock infinity pool for pure tranquillity. Exceptional Sri Lankan hospitality and the rest we needed during our busy Sri Lankan holiday. We will be back!

Nice hotel conveniently located a short distance from the city. Amazing and helpful staff especially the young lady on reception. Clean and very comfortable. Good value for money. Food in the resteraunt was excellent Highly recommended. THANK YOU

My stay at Iduwara Arana was absolutely delightful! From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The staff's attentiveness and genuine care truly made me feel like a valued guest. The room itself was a haven of comfort, impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed with everything I could possibly need. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my every need was met, always with a smile and a willingness to assist. Iduwara Arana provided me with a truly unforgettable stay, exceeding all my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable experience.

Elephant village and this house 🏠 to stay, it was impossible to believe how lucky I was to see and enjoy this 5-star 🤩 location. First of all, the biggest thank-you to Mr.andrew for hospitality and support to show everything around and to show new places. I can not describe how beautiful it was and how much i enjoyed it. It's 10 of 10... The beautiful house, the amazing breakfast with a view with elephant 🐘, the beautiful view from the house to the farm 🚜 of banana and papaya. This is easily one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I've stayed at. Recently renovated, no expense has been spared to bring the Colonial mansion back to life. The attention to detail is remarkable. All the services are extraordinary and if I ever have a special occasion in Sri Lanka it will be at the Grand Walawwa.

This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!
