I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

This place was absolutely breathtaking—truly a dream! The house, designed by the host, was just as stunning. You can immediately tell they have incredible taste. Wow! The hosts were beyond kind and welcoming. They gave us a tour of their garden, and it was nothing short of magical. If you can name a fruit or vegetable, they grow it! Breakfast was a feast—fresh, flavorful, and straight from the garden. Every bite was pure joy! All in all, this stay was unforgettable. Before we left, we each planted a durian tree, and we can’t wait to come back in a few years to see it grow. If you're looking for a special place to stay, this is it!

We had a wonderful stay at the home stay. The owner helped us with everything and was really kind. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The rooms are also very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone.

We stayed here for a day and feeling like it was too less to live there , host is as amazing,, they made us feel like family ,hospitality was wow, he explained our cab driver to the route so it can save our time ,breakfast was too yummy, room was so neat and tidy, view from the room is way too amazing , Last but not the least worth the name cozy heaven it was really a cozy home.

Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Host is providing pick up service from Nanu Oya railway station with reasonable price. Breakfast was beyond my expectation and really satisfied. Had dinner here and also very delicious. Host offered tuk tuk tour to water falls and tea plantation. House is more than 110 year old building and location is 15 minutes walk to downtown and by tuk tuk about 400 rupee. Also host pick me up from downtown. Host and his wife are very kind person and really helpful. I strongly recommend this accommodation. Thanks Mr. Sanjeewa for the hospitality.

The property is right out of a movie! It sits on the top of a hill, It’s clean, has a double height common area, with a small bridge for one of the rooms. There are multiple antiques and items that make the place aesthetically pleasing. The views from our rooms were just mesmerising. Everything is clean and top notch. The breakfast is amazing - a good number of choices and amazing taste. We had our dinner here itself since it was really good. We rented their scooty and it’s in a very good condition. Overall, we are really happy they opened their house to us.

This accommodation was so unique! We wished we stayed longer!! BREATHTAKING VIEWS BEAUTIFUL AND COZY CABIN DELICIOUS HOME COOKED MEAL We stayed here for a night with a group of five friends, we were meant to go into the town for dinner but the cabin was so lovely and had such amazing views with a cozy feeling, we stayed in and had dinner made by the family (which was delicious). Sunrise is absolutely amazing, we woke up and sat on the balcony with blankets to watch it. This was our favourite accommodation we stayed at while exploring Sri Lanka. It reminded us of a ski lodge or cottage in the mountains. WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK!!! Also the beds are SO COMFORTABLE. Couldn't recommend more. Definitely worth a book, the accommodation is an experience in itself.

Room was spacious, clean, well-designed, and had a very nice view. Located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but still close enough to the city centre. Owner was very kind and helpful.

We stayed in the "Cabana" and it was extraordinary in Design and Style. The Food was super delicious (local style) and was served in our living room. The location is central and you can reach everything by feet. The Owner and staff were great hosts.
