Just everything. Really nice apartment, specially equipped for western turists, with hair dryer, toilet brush, drinking water, big room and bathroom, with big patio in front of the room, plus swimming pool. What else can you wish more. It was the best experience during my trip in Sri Lanka. Big bonus was also Janaka, resort manager who organized Safari in Yala for us.

Excellent, exceptional care, near beautiful lake, where you can watch the birds, owner is very helpful, they also cook there. Short walk to town, small shop on the corner. Internet working well. They book you Safari tour so you do not have to worry about anything. Nice open space common area.

We had the best stay at Black Panther! Nalin is the kindest person ever and so helpful with everything! He took us around and spotted some super nice birds. He was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about them. He also helped with organizing a safari to Yala where we had a great time :) Also the rest of the family is so nice and the dinner we had was absolutely delicious, one of the best we had so far! The rooms are further really spacious and clean, felt really comfortable! We will definitely come back!

Don't know even where to start as experiance with Kind Yala was unforgettable! At the beggining I was a bit afraid as the hotel is situated in the jungle behind fence under electricity (due to elephants) and we were the only quests! So if you have similar worries, don't! Every person from the staff was absolutely great, helpful and very friendly. They tried their best to make your stay as best as its possible. I must mention the manager who organized everything for us and was avaliable under whatsapp all the time for us! They also organized a suprise dinner with bonfire and romantic atmosphere which was simply perfect!! Food was amazing no matter if this was breakfast, lunch or dinner - nicely presented, very tasty, variety od choice, made with love. The tent/bungallow looks exactly as on the photos - pretty large, clean, had everything you need, good air con, comfortable large bed. At night you could hear jungle voices which was pretty amazing. On a day of arrival staff organized a bike trip for us - to avoid getting lost one person came with us a a quide! Last but not least - next day they organize mini safari and later a main safari which was another wonderful experiance - we saw many animals including elephants, crocodiles and even leopard! Overall this was the best stay of that kind I ever had, dont hesitate and try King Yala! I bet you wont regret!!!

This is the place that exceeds your expectations! All the reviews that you read is not too good to be true- it’s a real reflection from people that experienced the stay at the Elegant Lake House. From the first step you’re greeted by Randy and his exceptional service. The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature- perfect place to relax and disconnect. We definitely suggest to stay more than one night if you can, because we promise you won’t want to leave. Randy has a lot of knowledge to share about his village and nature and he gladly does it for his guests by showing around. The food that they prepare is delicious! The rooms are very well equipped, super clean and new. So, if you’re reading this review- don’t think any more and book your stay at Elegant Lake House. It’s a true example of hospitality!     All the staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. The pool was really lovely and the breakfast was fabulous. The river side location is quiet and beautiful with a swing down by the water. The safari to Yala we booked with the hotel was well-organised and again, our driver went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we had an excellent experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    Great location on a big block of land next to a lake that had water buffalo in the afternoon. Nice pool to cool off in, the room was tidy with a/c and fan that worked well. The staff could not do enough for you and the highlight was the prepared meals, delicious food and large serves at a very cheap price. We also did a Yala safari from there which was organised by the manager Dilipa where we saw heaps of wildlife including a leopard and bear. We loved our stay and highly recommended it.

    It was a great location In front of Thissa Lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We just spent only one night. It was really comfortable. Budget air conditioned lager rooms available. It was very clean and well maintained. I will definitely choose this place again. In the morning the sun was amazing with a lake view. They have a restaurant and a well balanced menu including kids items also. Highly recommend this place
