I absolutely love camping, but a glamping site with daily room cleaning, fluffy white towels, hot water, and beautiful design - that’s something special! The two true treasures of this resort are 1) the stunning beach with crystal-clear water and a gentle entrance to the sea, and 2) the wonderful staff: everyone, from the cleaner to every waiter, was kind, smiling, and always ready to help ❤️ This is the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. We originally booked just two nights because we were a bit unsure – mainly due to the limited number of reviews and the fact that it’s called a “hostel.” But we ended up extending our stay by another four nights and had a wonderful time! The few reviews are simply because the place only opened last year. The term “hostel” is actually a bit misleading – there are just three private single rooms (with shared bathrooms), so it’s much quieter and more private than you might expect. The host also plans to build a shared dorm on the other side of the building in the future. One of the best things is the price – it’s very affordable compared to most other places on Koh Kood. Despite the low cost, everything was always clean, especially the bathroom. The host was super friendly and always responded quickly to messages. There’s a fridge and a small kitchenette with dishes downstairs in the shared area. Each room has a shelf for your stuff and a fan, and the doors are fitted with extra insect screens. (If you’re sensitive to bugs, you might want to bring a mosquito net – there’s room to hang one over the bed.) We had one of the two rooms upstairs and loved the terrace – it was perfect for hanging our hammock and gym rings, and we had plenty of space to dry clothes. Every evening, a few tokay geckos would show up, which – as you might know – are considered good luck in Thailand! The location is also great – relatively quiet, with a few restaurants, small shops, a laundry, and a pharmacy all nearby. Ao Taphao Beach is just 1.5 km away, and the whole island is easy to explore by scooter, which you can rent directly from the host at a fair price. In short: this is a budget-friendly place that delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for more luxury, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more. But for what it is, we thought it was great – and we really don’t understand the negative reviews!

Good location for me ! right next to Ao Phrao Beach. Stunning design of the room. Was topped up with snacks / water everyday . Staff were so kind !! I had a miss communication with my ferry operator and missed my taxi pick up from the hotel and the staff went out of their way to sort me a ride to make my ferry on time . would love to visit again ☺️

    The location, close to the pier with a perfect view, .5 minutes walk to the pier were you find a few shops, 2 or 3 restaurants and a few bars with mostly local People. The resort provides free Kayaks which opens a tour in the bay and mangroves. The bungalows were super clean and comfortabele, with WiFi and warm water. The restaurant provided (cheap) excellent food. Given the low price , this resort got our full 10 rating.
