This was one of the most interesting experiences I've had with a booking.com stay. It's an indigenous community that has a small lodging for tourists. It was comfortable and sufficient in terms of the accommodations. The indigenous ladies are always walking around and love to chat with you. They speak Quichua and some speak Spanish. We were able to chat for a long time with a big group of them and learn about their culture, way of life and families. We hiked up to a hillside with one woman who showed us her cows and different crops. They cooked us their homemade meals and made us feel really welcome. It was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend. One sweet old grandma always had a little puppy following her around. It was so adorable. When we planned to leave at 4 am, one of the ladies organized a taxi for us. We didn't have enough cash left, so the woman's husband lent us some bills in exchange for a bank transfer super late at night. They continuously went out of their way to help us and show kindness. I will never forget it.

They helped set me up with a tour to hike and bike at Chimborazo, and provided great recommendations for what to see and where to eat in town. Room was comfortable, and the bed cosy. I didn’t use, but there was also some comfy shared spaces for relaxing at the end of the day.

Perfect stay for 1 night to do the Devil's Nose Hike. Or if you are looking for a very quiet and relaxing hostel to unwind for a bit, this is perfect!
