Ringo is a very kind host, super helpful with planning tours/ exchanging experience and he also speaks very good English. The food is very delicious - every day was something different. When we went diving our homestay packed us lunches. We were always very excited to eat. The bungalows were clean, cosy and all you are looking for in a relaxing retreat on a remote island. Everything … clean well equipped food is good also the new overwater bungalows are awesome roomy, the house reef is great no need to swim far to see turtles sharks and colorful coral.. book it you won’t regret it .. Goldie the dog is awesome as a tour guide she took us all the way to suwandarek 😂😂

At the resort, each room is fitted with a desk. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Wai Resort - Raja Ampat also offer a sea view. Guest rooms include a safety deposit box. This resort is exceptional. Of course it’s more money than the usual homestay however, the value is there. The entire resort is extremely well managed, maintained and is staffed with very professional employees. The beach hut is spacious, well laid out and steps away from the Wai reef. My son and I swam with turtles, stingrays, cuttlefish and thousands of other fish! We enjoyed getting to know Siti and Hana. They served our delicious meals everyday. They are friendly and cheerful, will know your name from the start. When I booked this resort, the owner/manager was responsive right away and throughout. The resident manager Restu is excellent also. I have food allergies and they accommodated me without issues. Restu coordinated our pick up from a different homestay an hour away and our drop off back to Sorong after our stay. The transportation was punctual and professional. If you love sunsets, sunrises and the night sky - you will get your fill here. They are seen very well from the main dock.

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Beautiful secluded location at the entrance to Gam Bay. The food was great, host was very friendly providing excellent service, and my room was clean. There are many opportunities for daily adventures or simply relax at the home stay and enjoy the beautiful scenery, occasionally spotting a sea turtle, or black tip reef shark swimming by. Each night came with a beautiful sunset and the sound of birds roosting in the forest. If you want to spend some quality time away from busier home stays in the pristine nature of Raja Ampat this is a great choice!

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. We had a wonderful stay with Mr. Jems, Mrs. Donna and their family. The houses are set right on a stunning, quiet white-sand beach, close to a charming village with happy children and friendly people all around. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, serving excellent home-cooked Indonesian meals, even fresh-caught fish grilled over a BBQ for lunch, and delicious cakes at coffee time. The coral reef just in front of the houses is vibrant and full of marine life, and the beach is always kept spotless. The entire family helps run the homestay, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy captivating live music played on handmade instruments and take part in thoughtfully organized day trips for birdwatching, waterfall hikes, and more—all with pristine rainforest just steps from their doorstep.

Paparisa is a brand new, small, private and secluded homestay with the nicest houses in Kri Island by far (compared to all the other homestays). The place has five "resort level" cosy houses with ensuite semi-open air bathroom (rare in Raja Ampat), big nice comfortable beds with mosquito net, a small private terrace in each house to relax or to watch the sunset and a small restaurant to enjoy your meals (they are building a nice sunset view big restaurant which they said will be ready by September 2025). They provide towels, toilet paper and linen so no need to bring yours. They have some toiletries but better bring some extra shampoo and shower gel for your convenience. Electricity is available almost half of the day and it is more than enough to charge anything in your room! The sea is just three meters from your door so you can easily swim whenever you want. This is also very convenient for diving or excursion's pickups as the boats pick you up straight from your door to go for diving or for a trip! Also, in walking distance you can snorkel in very amazing home reefs on your own. Paparisa rents for a small amount of money snorkeling equipment and these guys can also arrange several snorkeling trips to anywhere in the area. They also have contacts around so don't hesitate to ask them for anything you need! The communication before arrival through WhatsApp was exceptional and they have helped us a lot with our planning (the boat from Waisai to Kri arranged by them and a lot more). The food in the place is very tasty and feels like home and they are willing to cater any special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan etc).

Mares Homestay-Raja Ampat is set in Fam. Located on the beachfront, this property features a private beach area. The accommodation provides full-day security, room service and organising tours for guests. Lukey and his family are wonderful hosts! The food was the best we had in Raja And there was plenty of it!! Lukey knew all the good snorkel spots around the islands.

The bungalow is incredibly cozy, and the atmosphere is peaceful and serene. Rashid, the host, is one of the most caring and attentive people we’ve met – he made us feel completely at home. You can snorkel right from the doorstep of your bungalow, and honestly, even if you don’t go anywhere else, just being here is already magical. That said, it’s also a perfect base for exploring – Rashid has a boat and can take you to beautiful spots around the islands.
