Very quiet place. Located very close to the city. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. You can get bicycles for free. Our safari was organized by the hotel. It is very excellent. Our driver is very good. We saw all kinds of animals including leopards. We went on a full day safari. We had a wonderful breakfast and lunch. After the safari, we got a taxi from them to go to Mirissa. Very reasonable prices. They always try to provide the best service.

Words cannot really express how kind and accommodating Nalin and his family were. They did so much beyond expectations to make our stay perfect. We had to stay an extra day due to sickness and from getting medication from the pharmacy, arranging everything we needed no matter what and just generally being very interesting and keen to learn about other cultures in a completely comfortable and non intrusive manner it was superb. Been to Sri Lanka many times and mat so many kind Sri Lankans but Nalin clearly stands out. The rooms were spotless, no smell of damp (which can happen due to humidity in some places), we had the room of AC which was lovely, but a family member had a non ac room which was comfortable with the fans provided. Food was superb and they will arrange ahead of any dietary requirements. It was an honour to stay there and have the please of such good hospitality. I can see why this is 10/10 and 5* on Google! Also ask ahead about Safari and what animals you want to see and the type of trip you want because Yalla can be quite hectic and Nalin will help a lot. We arranged a tour beforehand which was good but it would have been better to have had some local knowledge prior to this as the Safari was quite hectic.

Udara is a wonderful host and will go out of his way to ensure his guests have the most memorable experience. He brought us to a temple for sunset along the coast. The sweetest little monkey called Pinky was there and loved to be around humans. His mother and aunt cooked us a delicious variety of curries for a private dinner in the villa. We went on safari with Udara’s company Yala Safari Wonders which I also highly recommend. The villa was pristine in terms of cleanliness. Highly would recommend!!!

The food was delicious. My favourite was the rice. The chef Jayalath did an amazing job and breakfast too was delicious. Madushan looked after us really well. Always with a smile and happy to help with everything. They arranged the safari for us which was fantastic. Supan our driver was all over it. Safe driver. He spotted things that only a trained eye would. He was friendly and fun. Highly recommend. Jayalath cooked us an amazing packed lunch. Eating outside by the campfire with oil lights was fabulous. We even had a crocodile who liked our left overs. The two dogs onsite were amazing. I really felt they protected the children especially. If they walked somewhere one or both dogs went with them. They slept on our porch at night. We were just charmed.
