Van der Valk Hotel Venlo offers free parking and free WiFi throughout the entire hotel. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. We had travelled from Ireland to Dunkirk on a ferry that arrived at 0100hrs. After driving to Venlo , we arrived hours ahead of normal check- in time. A very kind man at reception facilitated an early check- in. We enjoyed an excellent Sunday breakfast before catching some sleep. A session in the swimming pool helped to refresh us.

The spa bathtub was just what I needed after a long day of site-seeing so I'm very glad that I chose this room. Clean, the kindest hostess (Stellina = amazing) , location, materials (luxury soaps, linnen, beautiful interiors), shower, bed, quiet made an effort to provide vegetarian breakfast: this is what hospitality should be like. I look forward to staying there again and super curious about the attic which is currently being converted to a luxury space for guest. I would love it if in the future they could add a room available for people who can’t do stairs so I can take my parents there.

Their recommendations about the city were very helpful. Having a indoor garage in the city was priceless. Briefly, it was a great decision to choose that place.
