Everything. The room was lovely and had great views. The staff went above and beyond - they’re so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, but the best part was definitely the on-site cooking class. It was so much fun and so yummy. It’s a bit outside of Haputale but a 300 rupee Tuk Tuk is super easy, and it’s walkable to the monastery down the street which is a much see little attraction. A+ all around!

The location is quite remote but stunningly beautiful and peaceful. The gardens and grounds are well maintained and the view of the mountains change minute by minute due to the weather and clouds. The staff is ready to answer any question and provide anything you wish. Take a tour of the tea factory, it’s short but informative!

1. Location is good, 5-10 min walk from train station and restaurants 2. Owner is very accommodating and arranged tuk tuk at 4:45 to lipton’s seat for sunrise and packed breakfast with water for us. We walked down to the tea factory and took bus back to town. 3. Owner also recommended us how to take bus to our next destination to the coast! It was easy and saved us a lot of money. ( by car is 25000 rp and it costs 1500 rp for two ppl in the bus) though we don’t have suitcase but backpacks so ok for taking bus 4. The view is very nice though a lot of time is covered by clouds 5. Wifi and hot water work well. no fan/ac in the room but it was cold in March so i don’t think fan or ac needed 5. try green paradise restaurant which is good and cheap. The mint mist restaurant has a good view but more pricy

From the moment you arrive, it’s as if you step into an alternative reality - one that encompasses your entire spirit, soul, and mind. Run by an extremely sweet and caring older couple (who we now consider family), Crystal Bungalow is interesting, entertaining, and simply peaceful to stay at. Outside you are presented with lush and well cared for gardens (with lots of birds). Inside, everywhere you turn there is a new thing to discover (it’s a big like living in a beautiful and interesting museum). You are living on a small tea plantation in a colonial era home. The room was comfortable, bed very nice, water very hot. But perhaps the most meaningful thing is the connections we made to the owners. They care for you and they help you. We’ll be back!

This was our favorite Villa we stayed in during our entire trip. Not only was the house in perfect condition for our group, but Lalith and Niluka went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. The food they prepared was some of the best we had in the entire trip. We had such an amazing time. Wish we could have stayed longer and became family! Miss it already.

Wow! What a beautiful guesthouse with the sweetest and most thoughtful owner! Our room (double room with balcony with a king bed) was fantastic—spotlessly clean, super comfortable mattress, pillows, and comforter, great shower with hot water, an amazing view out the giant windows, and a lovely balcony and hammock. And the owner, Shashi couldn’t have been a better host. She welcomed us with a complimentary drink upon arrival, brought us delicious ginger tea in the evening when it got cool, and made us the most delicious dinner (we got curry and rice but she offered us multiple options) and breakfast (we got milk rice and fruit but she also offered us a western breakfast)! The views over the valley are stunning and it was so nice and quiet at night. We only wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommended!
