Southern Sands Ecolodge offers tented accommodation within the Ndlovumzi Nature Reserve, located on the banks of the mighty Olifants River. This is the best spot to be if you want to visit the blyde river canyon. Terry and Robina are just the most wonderful host, they made our journey unique and unforgettable. The tent is very comfortable and it is next the to the olifant river, so you just hear nature all around you. Amazing!

Situated within Makalali Private Game Reserve west of Kruger Park, aha Makalali Private Game Lodge offers accommodation in 2 lodges. This Big Five game reserve spreads over 26000 hectares. Words cannot describe this experience. All staff were very attentive and welcoming, happy! The room has a great view to the savanna, and sometimes you can even see some elephants taking a bath on the small puddle. Everything was perfect!

Situated within the Mabula Private Game Reserve, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp consists of five luxury tents. The camp features a small outdoor swimming pool, as well as a guest lounge and bar area. We loved the friendly helpful staff who could not do enough to make our stay a wonderful experience, from the chef Anna to Catherine, Wesley, Margaret who waited on us and MJ and Vincent our game rangers. Thanks for making our stay incredible!

The luxury tent we stayed in was very comfortable. The mattress on the bed was of high quality, ensuring three nights of good rest. Everything was very clean and neat. The bathroom area above the shower is open, so in winter it might get a bit chilly, but we were aware of this beforehand, and it was still lovely to take an early morning shower. The bathroom is modern, and the large bathtub was definitely a bonus. The only two things I missed were a mirror in the sleeping area for blow-drying hair, and perhaps an extra small cabinet or surface to place personal items, as there is more than enough space. The staff were exceptional — very friendly and helpful. The chef's food was absolutely outstanding! We will definitely return.

The area is quite bushy and can be more difficult than other open areas to spot animals very quick but the rewards once in front of them are so satisfying. And photography wise it gives a lot of texture, with a touch of dramaturgy. Did I see the big 5? Yes within the 2 first games drives : a group of rhinos, a pride of 12 lions , a leopard at a water point , tons of elephants … Sabre the guide was just pushing the games drives into another level, sharing from a so professional and passionated engagement : explanations on animals behaviours, tracks, flora and conservation. The camp: rustic, not fenced , very comfortable with a view on a water point from the tents. (From my terrasse I saw: elephants, kudus, hyenas, lion…. Just amazing). To finish my review a major thanks to Jude and the team at the camp for their generosity in welcoming and treating guests. I really enjoyed my time at Ndzuti camp, not the last time.

We had a wonderful time here. The entire team went above and beyond to give us a unique experience. The location and accommodations are fantastic. From your comfy couch and pool, you can spot elephants, crocodiles, and hippos. We even spotted a leopard on the boat trip on the Olifants River. Thank you, Cathleen, for spoiling us.
