Wow! What a serene place to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin is perfect, neat and clean. The jacuzzi was a highlight for me, especially while sitting under the stars at night. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying your time. The property has beautiful walks that you can do as well.

It’s a super cute little cabin in the mountains. The owner made sure we received a good description how to get there although we had booked on an extremely short note. The outdoor kitchen was very well equipped and a really nice surprise.

The staff, Jacob, was very accommodating when I called him late on the day explaining I would only be able to check in around 11pm. He gave me very detailed instructions of arrangements he would make to accommodate my request.

90 minutes from Kruger National Park, Diggersrest Lodge offers accommodation in Haenertsburg. Tzaneen is 32 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site.

What an amazing place with beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the valley. So far it's the best cottage we stayed in. Host Johannes was very friendly and even helped us to get the fire place going

This was my second visit to the Lodge. I enjoyed it the first time (a couple of years ago) but, if anything, it was even better this time round. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and extremely good value. The pool was lovely (actually, there seem to be three of them!) The evening meal (a la carte) was delicious, the bar was lovely and the breakfast (included in the accommodation fee) was amazing: a buffet with a massive choice of fresh and cooked ingredients, juice, cereal, tea and coffee. I went for a short walk in the evening and immediately encountered two giraffes and a kudu cow, and then, two minutes later a pair of bushbuck. There was plenty of spoor around too - notably that of zebra (which I saw on my last trip), and the frog and bird calls were lovely. Vervet monkeys come into the accommodation area so you'll almost certainly see these on your visit. Added to all this, the staff were great!

The caretaker agreed to move us to a cottage with a lake view free of charge because that’s what we wanted upon arrival. The location is quite private and cosy, it’s in the bushes and not much to be done I think it’s convenient if you want some quiet time with your partner.
