-The garden was mesmerising, beautiful, and simply amazing. We loved also the presence of the lovely cats and dog (a wonderful company for chilly evenings). -The view from the balcony, and the comfort from the hotel. Peaceful and relaxing. -The room was cleaned every day and it was spotless. -Exceptional service. The staff was super friendly, always finding a quick solution for any problem that arises. -The hotel provided everything for a comfortable stay (beach towels, cushions for the beach, laundry service which was super appreciated). -Breakfast was complete and has a good variety of options for all tastes -Wifi worked perfectly well. -Access to the beach was so near, and convenient. -Absolutely recommend this hotel for mice and chill holidays.

We stayed at Rozafa Palace during our group trip through Albania, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring the area. Very good breakfast and the coffee was really good! The location is peaceful yet close enough to enjoy everything Sarandë has to offer. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. I had an issue with my credit card, and the team responded immediately and very professionally. I received a clear and reassuring email right away, which I really appreciated. That level of communication and care is rare and worth mentioning. A big thank you to Maria and the friendly girl at the reception (sorry I didn’t catch your name) both were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. It’s always a pleasure to be greeted with such warmth. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place with comfort, professionalism, and genuine hospitality in Sarandë. Thank you, Rozafa Palace! 🙏

The hotel is very clean, modern and the rooms are well furnished with everything you need for your stay. The highlight of our stay was absolutely the staff - they were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. They even (totally unprompted) organised a cake for my birthday which fell during our trip! Cannot fault the service at all. We also liked the location - although it’s not totally central, and there’s quite a bit of building work going on around it (which is happening all over the city) the main promenade is just a short walk away, and the walk is very safe, well-lit and lined with local shops and cafes etc. Thank you Hotel Portanova for a great first experience in Albania.

    We loved Saranda!

    We loved Saranda! We were there in the shoulder season, which was nice as it was less crowded. Still plenty to do and nice weather most of the time. Nice assortment of bars and restaurants, great beaches, nice people.

    The sea suddenly deepens, but the water wasn't salty. The city's beach was pebbly. You have to go to some more distant beaches for sand, but it's a fascinating city. It's definitely worth seeing.

    Sarandë has everything that a beach and activity related...

    Sarandë has everything that a beach and activity related centre could offer. Beaches, parks, historical sites, dining, accommodation are all available. The only concerns are excess traffic for a smaller city, overcrowded buses and wreckless scooter riders on the promenade.

    I liked that the heart of the city was compact enough, you could walk everywhere. The city was safe and peaceful. Compared to other Albanian cities we visited, the city was cleaner, but there are also many unfinished and dilapidated buildings in the cityscape. I also want to say that the homeless dogs living in the city may seem cute, but a member of our group of friends was bitten by a dog and we had to go to the hospital for first aid. So a warning to other visitors to the city, be more careful with these dogs.

    There are many restaurants and bars offering a large variety of food and drink choices. The area around the promenade very clean and easy to walk along. Lovely views across the bay towards Corfu. Sellers selling their wares on the promenade during the day, mainly in the evenings without the hassling of buying from them. Plenty of excursions also on offer either land or sea trips.

    Sarande was awful.

    Sarande was awful. Not the friendly Albanian experience I’d experienced elsewhere. Dirty beach. Covered in cigarette butts, plastic, bottle tops and broken glass. Every shop appears to invent prices for tourists, which far exceeds the prices of other areas in Albanian. Awful party boats moored along the esplanade playing dreadful music. Overpriced poor quality restaurants. I was glad to leave, which again hadn’t been my experience of other areas of Albania.

    A truly exceptional hotel! The service, hospitality, and attentiveness of both the staff and the hotel manager, Marco, are outstanding. The property is located right on the beach in Saranda, Albania, featuring an infinity pool, a private beach, and excellent food and drinks.It is highly recommended to book rooms facing the sea and the pool for the best experience.     I had an amazing experience during my recent stay at hotel Erioni in Saranda, Albania. The location was breathtaking, offering stunning views of the sea and easy access to the beach.
