Review for Sphera Hotel Our stay at Sphera Hotel was an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, care, and outstanding hospitality. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and valued. A special thank you to Ms. Diana and two other colleagues whose names we unfortunately didn’t catch—a lady working the morning shift and a gentleman working the night shift. Their kindness and professionalism truly made our stay exceptional. Ms. Diana, with her joyful smile and cheerful conversations, made us feel genuinely happy and as though we had known her for a long time. This created an immediate sense of comfort and welcome, which set a positive tone for our entire stay. The lady working the morning shift showed remarkable kindness and care. When we needed assistance planning a trip, she didn’t hesitate to help. Since we don’t speak Russian, she called the destination on our behalf, gathered all the details, wrote everything down, and explained it all with enthusiasm and love. Her willingness to assist made our planning so much easier and stress-free. On our last night, the gentleman working the night shift demonstrated exceptional hospitality. He stepped outside to ensure we safely boarded our cab, standing at the hotel door with a warm smile and wishing us a safe flight. This thoughtful gesture was a perfect way to end our stay. When we first arrived at our room, we were greeted with a heartwarming surprise—a handwritten note congratulating us on our honeymoon, along with a beautifully arranged fruit plate. This thoughtful gesture made us feel so special and welcomed. During one of the days, I wasn’t feeling well, and the hotel restaurant staff were incredibly attentive. They promptly brought me what I needed and even sent another plate of fruit with kind wishes for a speedy recovery. Their care and compassion truly stood out.

I had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Express Yerevan! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their hospitality truly enhanced my experience. The location of the hotel is perfect—right in the heart of Yerevan. During my stay, there was a charming Christmas Village set up just in front of the hotel, which added a magical holiday atmosphere. The area is also surrounded by plenty of restaurants, offering a variety of delicious options just a short walk away. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and wonderfully warm—an ideal retreat after a day of exploring the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Yerevan for its perfect combination of great location, excellent service, and comfortable accommodations. I can’t wait to return!

We didn’t get to explore much of Yerevan, but the few places we visited were lovely. Republic Square and Cascade Complex were definitely our favorites — both have great views and a relaxing vibe. We tried a few local cafés and small restaurants near the city center; the food was really good, especially the Armenian barbecue and pastries. Getting around Yerevan was quite easy — taxis and Bolt rides are affordable, and most places are close to each other. For young couples, evening walks around Northern Avenue or a coffee date near Cascade are perfect ways to enjoy the city’s charm

It's a beautiful city with history.

It's a beautiful city with history. One of the first with a Christian (Orthodox) faith. With very delicious food and small prices. The vernissage market is a charm. And I recommend you to see the evening city. The cultural program is wonderful.

Friendly population, very good food restaurants (although service in Armenia is something to get used to, it's really culture)... A clean, cozzy, safe city worthwhile visiting as well as the other parts of Armenia. Without exception, they all smile if you thank them in their local language (as it's very hard to remember :-)). I certainly recommend all my friends to put it on their list.

Many places to see.

Many places to see. The city is perfect for taking a walk, because of many parks, lots of cafes and good behaviors of drivers towards pedestrians. In addition I found that local people are polite and warm.

People are indifferent and not at all friendly or helpful. Nobody ever returns a smile. We are Muslims and had absolutely next to no halal food options. Found one good Indian restaurant called India Palace selling halal certified food but it was expensive and they sell alcohol. The tour operators are not genuine. They charge people differently and most of our tour was a waste of time and money. All in all our family trip was not that exciting. You can choose other options for family trips

Armenian is my homeland although I wasn’t born there.

Armenian is my homeland although I wasn’t born there. It pains me that I came to visit after many years and I was robbed by a taxi driver. Charged me 13 times more than he should have. 65 US dollars. However since then it has been going well and I had no problems. The restaurants are great and the people are very helpful when questions asked. The weather is great and will be doing trips to various parts of Armenian. I hope the rest of my two weeks will be pleasant.
