Perfect loication for experiencing the Tyrol.
Perfect loication for experiencing the Tyrol. Easy to get the (free for visitors) train or bus up and down the valleya nd side valleys. There is a Spar supermarket - we also used shops in Brenner and Steinach when passing through them at the end of walks to get the train back to Greis. The Obernberger See (easy bus ride from Greis) is beautiful and the perfect start or end point for numerous high- and low-level walks. The hike to Sattelbergalm restaurant then on up to the peak of Sattelberg is great. We LOVED our first night in Austria because of this hotel. We arrived late, only to be greeted by beautiful staff in traditional Austrian dress and cowbells ringing in the distance. We were excited to wake in the morning to see the most incredible view surrounding us and greeted again by super friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. The room (suite / family room) was huge. The bathroom was huge. The layout was great. The scenery was beautiful. The breakfast was great and filling.
