It's easy to drive from there to the many lakes in Carinthia, as well as to Klagenfurt, and the hosts provide an abundance of catalogs and brochures on what else there is to do in the region. But it's also an absolute pleasure to just stay home, sit outside by the pool and have a swim, or just relax indoors. We are self catering, so we did our own shopping, and supermarkets are within a few minutes drive. The kitchen is very well equipped so we could cook whatever we wanted to cook. Plus there was a bar with some food and drinks at the beach as well. The door to the bathroom were actual wooden door, providing more privacy. Big balcony with drier - helped with drying swim suits. Good location, next to the town (super market, restaurants) and 15 minutes from Klopeinersee lake. Dinner in hotel's restaurant was good and maybe a bit too luxurious looking. There were only a few guests in the hotel, we nearly had the whole spa and saunas for ourselves! The staff was really nice, we never had the feeling of being "the unwanted last guests right before season ending". The new sauna and spa area is spacious, very clean.
