Everything was perfect! The lady at the front desk was especially nice and helpful! We were welcomed with a drink, got a room with a stunning view over the mountains, breakfast was delicious! Rooms were super clean. We cold not ask for more. We will come back for sure!

Well let’s start with breakfast which was amazing, we had our favorite spot by with balcony window eating breakfast with a view of the mountains just WOW! The swimming pool was fab we spent most of our day there popping back up to our room for some food then going back down. Myself and my partner came here in our honeymoon only getting married the day before we arrived and we just felt so welcomed, all staff were so friendly!

We spent 9 wonderful days at the chalet and loved every single moment! The location couldn’t be better, with so many fun things to do nearby and endless hiking trails to explore. The natural pool was magical, our girls jumped in every day and absolutely loved it. The farm is beautiful, and it’s clear the animals are cared for with so much love. Our favorite part was slowing down in the evenings, sitting in the garden with a book and a glass of wine, just soaking it all in. Honestly, this was one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had in Austria!

the reception staff went out of their way to provide information of attractions and activities. good value for money with food stores on the doorstep. important to note that some of the chalets are not so easy to access with a stroller,or if u need to climb stairs. Overall so clean with gorgeous views in the middle of great activities

    Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

    Wagrain is all about skiing.

    Wagrain is all about skiing. If you don't ski, there isn't much to do around Wagrain. Swimming pool opens in the afternoon, so does the skate ring. If you have kids, there is no much other fun things to do. Most of the restaurants open at 5 pm. If your hotel doesn't offer lunch meals, you can only help yourself with snack from the two spar groceries in the village. The ski bus is great, it runs every 10 min. However, the streets are narrow and it may get quite tight, if you meet a bus while driving.

    Wagrain was a good base for many activities in a family summer vacation: Super close: - Grafenberg - great views, a big playground for kids - Jaegersee - a lake with amazing view and a restaurant (I recommend the icecream). There is a short hiking trail around the lake and you can rent boats. - Flachau indoor waterpark - Not a must, but good for rainy days (can be very crowded) Up to 1h drive: - Salzburg - Lichtensteinklamm - Beautiful but very crowded - I recommend arriving right at opening time - Gosausee - Beautiful lake also with a hiking trail - Grollinger waterfall - Hallstatt - Very crowded so arrive early or don't bother.

    Small town but a good location for walks around. Also, close by car from other nice cities. The Wagrain card gives you some discounts. You can go to the warm pools for free, and these are great. Kids loved it

    Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area.

    Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area. Our stay at knappensteig was truly amazing. Thomas the owner is very available and the whole complex is amazing and very clean and comfortable. We Were there for 7 nights and we wanted to stay longer. It’s very close to the wasserwelt which the kids really enjoyed. We highly recommend this place.

    Anna's Sonnenquartier is an efficiently and lovingly run family-run property on the mountain overlooking Wagrain. The view is beautiful and a number of walks can be made straight from the lodge. The rooms were very clean and spacious, each with their own balcony. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in Austria. It was made with great attention for detail and very creative. The host Anna was very attentive and had many good tips about the area. We are already looking forward to the next time!

    All very good, the apartment is large, comfortable, and well equipped (includes even a coffee machine with coffee beans). A very nice host. They offer a "bread service" - you can order bread/bakery items (croissant, semmel) and they would deliver it every morning to your apartment. It is close to a ski bus stop (about 100 m walk), the ski bus takes you either to Grafenberg (Wagrain ski area) or Flachau. Enough space for parking your car. There is even a kids' playroom in the house!

    A perfect combination of modern style and traditional family hotel. Fitness room was surprisigky well equipped and opened early in the morning which was great during bad weather.. Indoor swimming pool and sauna arei rather small but very clean and with a peaceful green grass area outside. Breakfast has an excellent choice of tasteful food and excellent coffee. Staff is very helpful and nice. Hotels has also a cosy lobby with bar opened all the time.

    Perfect place for a family skiing trip! Just next to the slope (few minutes walk, back to the door by ski). Very spacious, ready for families (small playground outside, sledge to borrow, animals around, friendly hosting family,..). You only might need snow chains to get there and to get back to Wagrain for shopping if needed - but it's worth it ;-)

    Hotel is in a great location, just 1 ski bus stop to the gondola. There is a ski boots drying room in a barn next doors. The rooms are nice with plenty of storage space. The happy hour in the bar was a great deal.
