Belgrave is a base rather than a destination, unless you are going on Puffing Billy. It does have a good range of restaurants and cafes but the other villages are better for craft and sightseeing. The Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens at Olinda were absolutely stunning. Cloudehill is definitely worth visiting but the restaurant gets busy at weekends.

It was the worst accommodation i stayed at and also...

It was the worst accommodation i stayed at and also overpriced. Toilet needs to be repaired. Also did not like the milk and juice put in jugs and not much food. The major put off was the disgusting smell in the small stuffy b&b. I would never book ever again and they go by two different names

Typical beautiful hilly Dandenong area. Lots of cafes, restaurants, wine bars etc and has a good vibe. Close to other beautiful locations such as Emerald, Sassafras, Olinda etc. You could spend quite a bit of time here. And of course there’s Puffing Billy.

Enjoyed the main street facilities. Car parking adequate. Thank you to the hotel staff who provided great service and an excellent lunchtime meal. Overall Belgrave is located in a wonderful natural setting and only a short drive from the city and suburbs.

The lovely hosts Margaret and Rob upgraded us to the cottage which was absolutely gorgeous. Facilities were top notch from the great selection of breakfast goodies to the gas heater that made the cottage so warm and comfy. The bed was also very comfy. Awesome Nespresso machine too with great choice of flavours for that early morning caffeine hit. Just a ‘stones throw’ from the centre of Belgrave… 2 minute walk.

It had a homely feel. Garden is lovely. The beds were a pleasant surprise, comfortable for a change when it comes to hotels. Probably because it's more a B&B, part of the home of the owner. It appeared only one, 2 bedroom, with separate breakfast bench area was being used so very private.

Beautiful location although steep and awkward access both to the house and locality. House was modern, comfortable and had good inclusions. Excellent value for 4-6 people but relatively expensive for only two. Quality and enjoyment was a big step up from a hotel room

Bed & Breakfast on the edge of Belgrave main Street with great ambience and beautiful garden surrounds. Easy walk to town and lovely breakfast provisions provided for our own preparation. Diane was a great host and we had a quiet and relaxing weekend.
