I have been visiting Bellingen since the 1970s and it has gone through many changes. We have family in the area. It became a trendy town and had a number of interesting shops and eating places. After 4 days in Sydney we were looking for some down time and Bellingen fit the bill. A funky small town with good restaurants, nice shops, good scenery locations within a 45 minute drive and even a nice 18 hole golf club with available club rentals, basic but adequate. I just love Bellingen.

It was bigger than I thought and had quite few eating venues...
It was bigger than I thought and had quite few eating venues. There were a couple of bookstores and several clothing stores in what looked liked heritage buildings. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of light. It was clean and well maintained. There is an outdoor verandah which is a good spot to relax.
