Dean and Joadi are indeed wonderful hosts, very kind and considerate. They provide excellent information about the area, and are always very helpful. The bungalow I rented had all the essentials for a ideal stay in the Daintree National Park, I particularly appreciated the details such as; the torch, the umbrellas, and the beach chairs! The barbecue area is also most definitely a highlight. The location is ideal since the property is equidistant from the entry of the park, and Cape Tribulation, the main attractions are easily reachable by car, and literally 50 meters away from Thorthon beach. So if you are looking to explore this wonderful place of the world enjoying a simple yet well organised accommodation without draining your budget this is most definitely the best place to choose! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

The owner was very friendly, telling us about places to eat and what to see in the surrounding area. The location is amazing right in the rainforest. If you're lucky you might encounter a cassowary on the property. We were the only ones staying on the day so we had the whole garden for ourselves to explore. If you don't want to go out to eat you can also use the BBQ on the veranda, which is what we did. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice and quiet stay in nature.

We stayed in Greg’s property for 1 night in Oct., 2024. Greg was a very nice and welcoming host, and the lodge was clean. The breakfast was also great! Some of the facilities (e.g. the fridge in our lodge) isn’t fully working due to cyclone Jasper’s damage. However, it was totally understandable as the entire area hasn’t fully recovered from the damage yet, and Greg did his best to make things as comfortable as possible. The free WiFi in room was working and was in reasonable speed. We highly recommend staying in Greg’s property when visiting Daintree / Diwan area!

One of the most special places we’ve stayed at. Charming cottages in the middle of the rain forest, very intimate, good food at the restaurant and Jason being a great host. 9 cassowaries over two days of which one was at the lodge!
