The hotel was located in the centre of town. The building is an historical site and very interesting to learn more about it. The building was amazing with the grand cedar staircase going up to the 2nd level. The glass doors from the rooms lead out to the large huge verandah where you could sit and enjoy the view having a cold drink.

The car parking was covered to give shade . There was a nice pool for a cooling swim. The gentleman on the desk was most obliging.

For a nerd like me this was a good town to visit.

For a nerd like me this was a good town to visit. There are some very interesting attractions, especially near the airport such as the Cosmos Centre, and the Flying Doctor display. And in town the Bilby Experience is very enjoyable; the bilbies are worth whatever support you can give manage. The town does tend to close up on Sundays so finding a venue to eat in is restricted but the RSL was open and has good food. Overall I was happy to visit a "Big Sky" town.

Loved Charleville-- so much to see and do here.

Loved Charleville-- so much to see and do here. Very interesting and friendly town and easy to find your way around when driving. Loved the secret WW2 bunker and the cosmos-- day and night shows. The bilby show was also a winner.

We went to the Bilby Experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner at the Corones Hotel was the usual first class experience. The town was buzzing with the Bush Bash overnight arrivals. The town is a good stop over heading out west or returning. The Cosmos Centre is also a must see.

We were only passing through on a road trip, so arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next day. It was a Saturday afternoon so all the shops were closed, but we drove around town to check it out. Went down to Graham Andrews Park to sit on the Big Red Bench Chair and walked around the park also saw the Vortex Rain Urn. For dinner we went to the RSL very nice and our meal was perfect. Went over to the information centre (Charleville Railway Station) and the staff there were very bubbly, friendly and helpful. Plus you can get a free coffee while there. Checked out the water tower art work

I was returning for a visit to where I was born & lived.

I was returning for a visit to where I was born & lived. I would recommend going to see the Bilbies, Cosmos Centre, Historic House Museum & the Flying Doctors centre. You can also do the river walk. Very easy to walk everywhere if you want. The best place we found to eat was Bones & Nikki's Turckerbox, The best hamburgers & the prices are great. Just take your time to look around. I found a great please to shop which is the Made in Murweh. Just support the locals the best you can while you are there
