The motel was in a central location, relatively close to shops, cafés and restaurants but also very close to some beautiful walking tracks and the beach. Our room was comfortable and roomy plus there was plenty of parking space for our car. The front desk receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here, everything was just perfect.

Beautiful room with fan and working AC. All the things you might need including kettle and microwave and fridge. Beautiful pool and they let us stay later to swim twice. No one at check in but key under mat wasn't an issue

    Forster is like many other NSW North Coast towns, recreation facilities abound as you are surrounded by Oceans & Lakes. Shopping is mainly centred at the Stockland Mall which is a short car ride away from the centre of town & Beach-side accommodation. There are plenty of Clubs & Pubs for entertainment & if you take yer Fishing Gear you'll be set like a jelly. If you happen to enjoy Oysters the lakeside Oyster Barn is there for your convenience as are many restaurants.

    Forster is a beautiful place, so many nice little beaches to go and see. We also went to put put and on the water golf. The movies is only 8 mins up the road. Great shopping. Everything is so close by.

    Forster is a beautiful small coastal town and a wonderfully relaxing place to visit. The people are friendly, the water is stunning, and you’re almost guaranteed to spot dolphins in the river. If you’re looking for a great meal, Limlong Thai is excellent.

    Only a bit more than 3-hour drive north from Sydney to enjoy beautiful beaches & walking + cycling track along the river. Highly recommended for a weekend away or 1-day stopover when you drive north toward QLD.

    We only stayed for a short time but managed to visit some beautiful beaches, ate some great meals and even went to the circus which happened to be in town. Shout out to the lovely folk who run the putt putt golf which was a fun way to pass the time while we waited for our restaurant booking.

    Regretfully the food options are pretty poor.

    Regretfully the food options are pretty poor. Dined at what were supposed to be good cafe/restaurants but the calamari was tough, the banquet was poorly planned/portioned and impractical for sharing, and there was no local seafood ... all brought in from other regions.

    Neat,tidy and exactly what we needed for our large family to rest up after a busy year. Fully kitted home, strong wifi, kitchen and laundry appliances, right up to a multi-person kayak (which we used on several occasions). Brilliant location, very peaceful and quiet. Forster supermarket was only 5-10min drive. Great comms with the owners who had everything clearly laid out in terms of local tourism guide, restaurants, etc. We definitely recommend this place for your next holiday.

    Hotel Forster isn't as dated as some of the other hotels in town. Within walking distance to Stocklands Shopping Centre which had many food and coffee options. Just a short drive to main town. Renae was very pleasant to deal with and happily obliged when we asked to extend our stay for an extra night.

    Close proximity to beach that permitted off leash dogs at certain times of the day. Quiet neighbourhood. House was well set out with modern conveniences. Alfresco area was great to relax in. Perfect for a couple or a family. Pet friendly and comfortable.
