Our room was perfect, the bed was wonderful, even my husband who is a poor sleeper, slept well, the shower was fantastic and the patio was a delightful surprise complete with a pond and wildlife to help unwind and relax. The rooms are stage in a way that you feel like you are on your own but if you had children, there was space for them to burn energy and be cooped in a room. Dinner in the bistro was just normal food, not special but good and the staff everywhere were friendly and smiled, i appreciated the smiles. a few miles up the road was the township of Mt Evelyn where wee found yummy bakeries and shops to explore and nearby nursuries often had breakfasts. Loved visiting the wineries (wine tasting & food) the incredible views at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, the picturesque Alowyn Gardens - but the highlight was definitely - The Blue Lotus Water Garden. It was breathtaking. Spanning over 14 acres (50,000 square meters) in size. The tropical-themed gardens contain more than 40 different ponds, lakes and water features which produce the biggest display of lotus and waterlily flowers in the southern hemisphere. The grounds also contain an amazing array of exotic plants, garden exhibits, fountains, waterfalls, floral sculptures, walks, scenic vistas and picnic areas. One staff member told us the history and it was fascinating. The farm land it is on has been owned by the same family for 4 generations and has changed multiple timed due to demand. The Blue Lotus Water garden is seasonal for only 4 months - after that, the whole garden is pulled up, the water drained - everything is replanted again for the next year's season. This information was not on the website - we all loved hearing about the family and how each generation farmed this land and made it what it is today. we will definitely go back with other family members.Guest review byKalinaAustralia

It provided an ideal place for the night that positioned us between the hospital on the first day and the medical rooms for the checkup on the 2nd day. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and cully equipped. Even though the hotel was used by a number of truck crews that night, the room and the area were very quiet. The venue and concert was fantastic. It was intimate which made it an even better experience. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. I had a nice view outside and in the morning I was even greeted by some ducks that came up to my back door. And our view for the backyard, it was perfect. There was a pond with ducks swimming. The hotel is also cleaned. You can do laundry too in a designated area. It's convenient.
