Sydney is fabulous for families - lots to do and some things are even free like the Hyde Park Barracks - definitely worth a visit. SEA LIFE Aquarium visit brilliant. Footpath walking the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Even more exciting is to experience the Bridge summit climb. Walk around the Opera House and through the surrounding gardens and around Circular Quay and harbour on a beautiful sunny day. Easy and cheap to train to Penrith and Parramatta and Bondi shopping malls and central city. Visit Manly and especially Bondi Beach. Eat a lovely early or late breakfast at Cafe Bondi. It's an amazing city with the history, including old buildings. Definitely visit The Rocks. Lots of museums, Sydney Eye Tower, Sea Life, Wild World & the Wax Works, Chinatown - & the list goes on. The harbour is beautiful & ferry rides are great. Watch out for the sea gulls at the beaches, especially if you are trying to eat fish & chips!! They are vicious!!! Public transport is quick & easy. However, I wouldn't like to live there - too many people, too many steep walking footpaths from Circular Quay & anywhere else in the city, many high high-rise buildings, but it's still a wonderful city to visit.
