We loved the location and the fact you could see ruins underneath a glass. Friendly Karima upgraded us to a suite which we much appreciated. I was able to stay longer in the living room reading without bothering my wife who wanted to go to bed earlier. The hotel has 3 rooms on each one of the 3 floors, so if you mind climbing stairs ask for a room on a lower floor. Karima offered us an umbrella when we got out without one. The hotel is non-smoking. Dino went above and beyond to help us. He went to the bakery to bring us potato pies so we would have more options at breakfast as we are vegans. Later he made some calls to give me information on another town. As previous reviewers mentioned the dishes we had at dinner were delicious and in very good portions.

We loved the local cat. It was a great bonus :) Very good hotel, good breakfast! The view from our rooms was beautiful, waterfalls is right under the windows. (When you close the windows you can't hear it but we kept the window opened at night because we loved the sound.) Clean and nice place to stay. We enjoyed a short walk around the property. The location is good, close to the city and to other attractions.

This is a beautiful property that we absolutely loved. We had two apartments, both beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a fantastic bonus—perfect for relaxing during the day or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The owner was helpful and communicative. A truly lovely stay!

This apartment was, by far, my favourite in all of Bosnia! The quality you get for the price is incredible. The host is easily available through whatsapp, check-in and check-out were easy, the kitchen has everything you need and more (oil, tea and coffee, sugar, an espresso machine, etc), the balcony has a great view over the hills, the bed is comfortable and the living room is spacious! Wifi is great and although I didn’t need it, there is A/C. Location is also perfect, right outside of the old town and the building was quiet. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Our stay at Cottages Relax was an amazing experience from start to finish. The contact with the host before our visit was already very pleasant. We received videos from the enthusiastic owner, which made us even more excited about our upcoming stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Boris, who immediately explained where to find everything and how it all worked. The view was stunning, and the jacuzzi and infrared sauna were delightful additions to our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the upstairs room had a magical view. Next time, we will definitely stay longer!

In this flat I had the best sleep on our tour over Bosnia.. We was planning just to sleep in Jajce and check the waterfall.. but the owner was able to explain for us all the beauty of his city.. and everything we could see more.. old castle.. lake nearby.. 2000 years old ruins.. and much more.. than we stayed all the day and we are happy we did.. Before we came to the flat he heat it up.. so it was nice and cozy.. helped with the laguage and provided free parking space. We also got more towels on demand..

The town of Jajce is very beautiful and cozy. It has a beautiful old town, a fortress, and the most important highlight is the beautiful Jajce waterfall. The town is further from the tourist routes, but it deserves more attention than Mostar. There is more to see here. I recommend visiting.

I would love for everyone visiting Europe to include Jajce in their itinerary. Jajce is truly an undiscovered treasure, full of history, natural beauty, and unique experiences. Despite being a small town, it has so much to offer. At the heart of Jajce is its breathtaking waterfall, located right in the centre of town—a rare sight that perfectly blends nature with the town’s historic charm. The history of Jajce is exceptional, spanning from the Roman and medieval periods to more recent events such as the Yugoslav era and the civil war in the 90's. Walking through the town feels like stepping through time, with monuments, ancient fortifications, and streets that tell stories from centuries past. For anyone who has heard of Yugoslavia but doesn’t know much about its towns, Jajce is the perfect place to learn and immerse yourself in history while enjoying stunning landscapes. Its combination of natural beauty, cultural richness, and historical significance makes it a must-visit destination for travellers seeking something authentic and unforgettable in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Jajce is a beautiful bosnian town with a nice historical old town, fort and waterfall. My recommendation would be not to pay to view the waterfall, you can see it perfectly from the platform above the waterfall so save your money and avoid the tourist trap.

First time visiting Jajce and it was really nice to do the...

First time visiting Jajce and it was really nice to do the walkthrough, eat and drink in the city center. The food was great and prices were affordable. It is a small city with a lot of things to see around the city. I would really recommend everyone to visit Pliva Lake.

The city itself and the surroundings are quite surprising. Especially since there are not too many tourists. Not all attractions have to be paid for. Suitable for a day or two. Above all, I was positively surprised by the large store open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

One night stay is enough to see the major sights and enjoy the atmosphere of the town where cultures clashed and melted eventually. Very welcoming town with great food. Some insights for travelers (not negative, just stating the facts so you can keep in mind): parking is difficult to find and the streets in the center are narrow; apartments in the center can be very loud, especially in summer, so if you prefer quiet area book outside of the center. Jajce is definitely worth visiting.

Fantastic location on the lake, short walk to the mills and beautiful park. Short drive to Jajce. Hotel room was very user friendly and clean, maybe a tad small if you have numerous suitcases. Staff very accommodating lovely breakfast and ability to have a few drinks in the evening at the bar. Free parking and very easy to find. Will return in warmer months with friends to enjoy the lake and the surrounding areas. Very pleasant stay.

Very spacious, clean and easy access with parking spot. Host provided all essentials and more (snacks, coffee, water and other drinks). Its 20 min. walk along the road to the Jajce Falls and all other attractions and restaurants in the area. Definitely will stay there again if our travels brings us to the area.
