Loved the many grand old buildings. The city is like a fairy tale. Everywhere you look, every street you walk is beautiful. Good restaurants. Great museums. Start by a boat tour and then visit the same places on foot. We loved Bruges, it is so quaint and easy to walk around. We followed the canals everywhere, found some lovely shops, cafes, markets and the further from the touristy centre, the nice and cheaper they were. We stayed 4 nights, We did a fabulous walking tour with Peter, a great way to learn the history and find where places are. We visited museums, art gallery, markets and a boat ride. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alegria which is well located and very comfortable. We had a great 2 hour walking tour of Bruges which we booked through Get Your Guide. Our guide Peter was excellent.
