    Small old town but enough places to chose from for meals - different for each day. Close to Strandja, Ravadinovo, etc - can roam around. Nice beaches around, if one is red flagged, you can just go 5-10-20 km away to find a yellow or green flagged one. (Kitens Atliman or Golden Fish near Santa Marina). Several boats and ships available for noon or evening cruises at very nice prices.

    Sozopol is an amazing city with a perfect mix of history, culture, and modern charm. Walking through the Old Town feels like stepping back in time, with its beautiful architecture and rich history, while still having plenty of restaurants, cafés, and entertainment options to enjoy. It’s also a great place for family travel—our child loved exploring the narrow streets and learning about the city’s past. At the same time, there are plenty of fun activities, beaches, and dining spots that make it enjoyable for both kids and adults. Overall, Sozopol offers a wonderful balance of being both educational and relaxing, and we found it to be one of the highlights of our trip.

    Great find!

    Great find! The history, atmosphere, beaches, shops and restaurants were great. The local people are lovely too (all except a grumpy art gallery owner!) Make sure to walk down to the level below - we luckily found it by chance but the external fort walls along the edge of the town is a wonderful, vibrant line of beach side restaurants! We would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

    Sozopol is a lovely place for young people who want to relax from the busy daily life, as well as for couples with children. There are lovely beaches within walking distance. The beaches offer areas with umbrellas/sunbeds, as well as designated free areas for individuals to set up their beach equipment. There is a food market offering fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as numerous restaurants serving fresh seafood from the nearby sea farms. During the summer, there are numerous concerns/festivals that are also suitable for children.

    Great town, with different parts, suitable for many kinds of peple, child friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice people everywhere. Great food. Great bars. Live music. There are lots of algae in the water in the recent years. They should do something about this. Prices skyrocketed in the past two years. Still not very expensive.

    It is nice place.

    It is nice place. The old town all the small restourants and places. The new part offers a lot of night life, so it is currently the best of two places. I you just want to have fun on the beach stroll lazily in the evenning and have calm cool dinner, or have a blast of a party. There is wide choices of food and beverages, for a week a 2 person stay can be about 1000 -1500 euro, if you allow yourself anything, if you are on a budget it can easily be 500 euro. I hope they don't follow the bad example of Sunny beach and keep it as it is now, or they will lose the spirit and the history feel of the town.

    I recently stayed at The Golden Fish in Sozopol and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean and cozy, making it a perfect retreat. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the comfort of the stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. The location is great as well. It's close to everything you might need: the beach, the old town, bars, shops and the downtown. I highly recommend The Golden Fish for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Sozopol.

    Located in the old town of Sozopol, with a wonderful and relaxing sea-side view from the balcony. Very spacious room and clean. Helpful receptionist. We stayed at the hotel during the low season, when the restaurant was closed, and everything around was extremely quiet. You probably would get a different vibe when the restaurant downstairs is open during the high season.

    Location is fantastic, walking distance into the old town (about 30 mins) but far enough out that it’s quiet and peaceful. Has a lovely beach a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is done out really nicely and the rooms are gorgeous. The staff were very friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Sozopol.

    Hotel Odyssey is in the perfect location just far enough away from the road but walkable to old sozopol and a stones throw away from the beach. We had a lovely time and our room was comfortable. The manager Boyan was very accommodating and did what he could to make our stay relaxing.
