Arraial do Cabo is nice for a stay on the beach and for diving. Praia Grande is really big with white sand. The temperature of the water may change rapidly. Praia dos Anjos is small but there is more sea life. The beach by the harbour is not so clean. Arraial do Cabo has many restaurants with tastefull options, also small restaurants where local people come to buy their lunch. This type of small restaurants is a real good option for healthy meals. Lovely sleepy beach resort. Beautiful clear water. I loved it, so came back 2 years later, when I returned to Brazil. Annoying that so few restaurants are open at lunchtime. Bus station, shops, chemist, restaurants, and anything else...
Bus station, shops, chemist, restaurants, and anything else you need is close by. To save time take advantage of the boat taxis and buggies. Take a guide with you at least for 2 days as they know the best beaches for snorkelling/scuba diving, photography and awesome sunsets.
