Pelotas has a great range of buildings from the turn of the Twentieth Century. There are beautiful squares such as Cel. Pedro Osorio with fantastic monuments, large trees, and charming surroundings. People are friendly and it´s very easy to get one´s bearings throughout the city. The problem is that many outstanding buildings need urgent restoration but there are not enough public resources to solve what needs to be done.
