Love huntsville - and Hidden Valley is always like coming home as we brought our kids here for most winters and spring break. My family owned stores here and live here so I love Huntsville as it is a part of my family history so I am biased. Huntsville is a bigger town than it looks!
Huntsville is a bigger town than it looks! Lots of new buildings and homes in process The Museum was interesting and the lookout area was a beautiful spot to see Huntsville from an arail view. The leaves were beautiful ! People were friendly and helpful Close to Arrowhead Provincial Park and Algonquin and many trails. We loved our meal at the Place by the Lights downtown. Excellent Italian food and wonderful service The traffic was very busy and parking is hard to find downtown. We stayed in Huntsville for one night on our way home from a road trip through Ontario. The downtown area near the water is charming with many restaurants and shops to visit. Several of the Group of Seven paintings adorn the buildings in this town. There is a dock by the water downtown, where you can rent kayaks. Several restaurants overlook the river. There is an awesome candy shop "The Nutty Chocolatier" on the main street where you can get ice cream and almost any sweet treat you can think of. The "On the Docks Pub" and "the Mill on Main" as well as "Boston Pizza" are overlooking the river. All within walking distance of each other.Guest review byLynnCanada
