Picturesque little town nestled just east of the Cypress Hills with various activities related to history, cattle ranching and abundant wildlife. The town is so quaint and friendly.
The town is so quaint and friendly. Close to Cypress Hills and Fort Walsh. Grotto Gardens is very cool and unique with goats, llamas, alpaca etc and a cute gift shop, mini golf and restaurant. What we like most was the proximity to cypress hills, as we love to walk there. We went in the afternoon before checking in to our hotel, then again in the morning before continuing our journey. Maple Creek is a very interesting community with lots of history, and a lot of great art. It has numerous festivals to be enjoyed. Definitely a gem in SW Saskatchewan. The bedroom was charming and had the most luxurious sheets. Sundog Manor is right in the heart of the historic district of Maple Creek. An easy walk to shopping, coffee, restaurants and museums.
