Sooke is a great base of operation for exploring beaches and trails in the area. One of our favourite "trails" was the 3km long Whiffin Spit. We walked the Spit every morning, and sometimes returned late afternoon. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and services in the area. We picked this location as it was close to family in...
We picked this location as it was close to family in Langford, and also, so our son could try surfing in Jordan River and Sombrio beach. Enjoyed some of the local restaurants but the traffic congestion getting to Sooke from Victoria, Langford, and highway 1 is brutal, even outside of rush hour times.Guest review byPasieka

Location is excellent, a short drive to the village with full service grocery, banks, gas station, McDonalds, & restaurants. We ordered food platters from the Village market for our event & very happy with it. Property is next door to Prestige Oceanfront Hotel where West Coast Grill is located, a highly rated & excellent restaurant. Owner was responsive when I asked for info to access property.
