we loved everything. the staff, the location, the view and the simplicity of the accommodation. everything was clearly marked. the kitchen has everything you might need to prepare your food. just make sure you have 1 swiss franc coin for the showers. we absolutely loved every minute of our stay and already planning our next visit.

The view is spectacular and amazing. The staff are friendly and attentive. The room is spacious and big enough for 2 people. Bathroom is superb. The breakfast does not have a lot of option, but still great for me. Maybe, just maybe in the future, hotel can add option of "halal meat" to make it more easier for muslim. Anyhow I enjoy my stay.

Fantastic views, fantastic staff, went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Sara was a gem. She picked us up from the cable car, and I really didn't think the car would make it up to the mountain with us all on board, but she drove like a pro. I can't give any more praise for the place. Everything. I travelled with my mum and we both absolutely loved it here. We shared a twin room and it was spacious, comfortable, clean, and modern. The hotel has good food, great facilities - bar, spa etc and the location is fantastic (really central) and the staff were wonderful. We really hope we can visit again. It also helps that Wengen itself is a really magical and charming place and just so beautiful. Having not visited Switzerland before we feel we were very fortunate finding this hotel and staying in this area.

We stayed here after my wife broke her leg and could not access our chalet. My wife was on crutches and the staff could not have been more solicitous in helping to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More generally the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, excellent food, superb service, front desk were helpful with arranging further emergency accommodation to cope with my wife's accident.

    Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Stunning scenery. The house very simple and that was just perfect for us. Lauterbrunnen was very bustling with tourists but out by Stechelberg where the Alpenhof mountain house is situated there is just mountains, and quiet, only sound the nearby waterfall .. simply idyllic. The hostess Diane is very friendly and helped us a lot, everything is very informal and easy going

    This place is for people who don't like to see other people :-). The chalet is located at the end of the road in Stechelberg, so you don't have much traffic. The hotel restaurant is about 50m from the chalet. The chalet itself has a terrace with unbeatable panoramic view of the mountains including Breithorn. This is an ideal place for relaxation or hiking or both. Highly recommended!
