Excellent location, right at the foot of the Great Wall. It's like a 3-minute walk to the entrance of the park. Basically you could see the wild flowers all around the mountain from the room window in March. The service is great with nice breakfast. The lounge on the second floor is relaxing and good for a coffee or tea. There's also a swimming pool in the yard.

My stay at CMYK Stoneyards was absolutely wonderful, from start to finish. The house is beautiful, the surrounding nature is stunning, and the food is the freshest and most delicious I have eaten in China. This place is a little paradise, the owner has done an incredible job at designing the spaces and the staff is super friendly. Big thank you to Marina for her warm welcome and support during my stay. The stay from start to finish was amazing. The hotel is family run, and has a very friendly and homely atmosphere. Lily and her husband are fantastic hosts. They provided lunch, dinner and breakfast while we stayed and each were delicious (the food is locally sourced). The hotel itself is modern and comfortable, with a rooftop terrace where you can view parts of the Great Wall. The remaining view is of luscious green trees on the surrounding mountains. Lily actually booked our entry tickets (and chair lift up/tobogan down) for us. The entrance to the Great Wall is a 5 minute walk away, but Lilys husband dropped us to the gate as we were going very early in the morning. I'd recommend staying in Mutianyu if you can when visiting the Wall, and would especially recommend staying here! We had a great time staying there! Brian and Sophie.

The manager was super attentive since the moment we made the booking. He offered transport service to/from Beijing, although we had our own already booked. The team greeted us with a great dinner included in our price, and the breakfast was also excellent. They sorted out the tickets for us, which was super helpful. They also took us to the great wall cable car entrance, and picked us up once we had finished. Super friendly people and I definitely recommend staying! By the way, the boy on the picture with Boris Johnson is the manager nowadays, although the pic was taken in 2008. This shows just how many years of experience they’ve had greeting international clients at this amazing resort! :)

Extremely friendly and helpful host who helped us with tickets for the Great Wall and finding a local restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view from the terrace. We absolutely loved our stay and our first experience in China. Would highly recommend!

While the price was a little high compared to other places of this standard, you cannot beat it for its location and the serenity of the environment that it is situated within. The staff are great and do their best to make sure that you have what you need and when you need it. The views from the room, if it isn't foggy, are simply stunning and time seems to stand still when you are staying there. Stan kindly provided us with transport to and from the Great Wall and this helped to set up a wonderful day for us.
