I had a fantastic stay at Phoenix Haven! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the ancient town, yet tucked away in a quiet alley, making it peaceful at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a charming traditional design. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, offering a detailed map of the town and great recommendations for food and sightseeing. If you need anything, he’s always quick to assist. This place truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

This is a perfect place to stay in Fenghuang - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with super views of the ancient city. Wang and her brother were amazing - very helpful and welcoming. This is an exceptional place to stay and except for having to move on to get flights, I would have stayed longer. Note there are a lot of steps and the accommodation is up an inclined street, but Wang and her brother helped superbly with our luggage. 10/10.

I loved everything about this property. Starting with the very hospitable owner ShuXi, ensuring that I was met and helped with my rather heavy month-long luggage. He then focused on my trip plans and needs. Helped organised my stay to make sure that I cover all the important attractions and cultural performance etc. and showed me where and how to get around. The whole property was super impressive with amazing Zen-Style decor, giving the place a calm, serene and tranquil feel, despite being only 3-min walk from the bustling TuoJiang River. The provision of traditional local breakfast was awesome and ShuXi even cooked and offered me delicious lunch throughout my stay. And when I mentioned my love for hotpot, immediately that afternoon he brought me to the local supermarket to get ingredients and helped set up my hotpot dinner in the courtyard. I’m super blessed to have chosen ShuXi Homestay. Truly a home away from home. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay sometime soon. And definitely bring my friends and family to enjoy the same beautiful experience. And the property looks exactly as shown on Booking.com (beautiful).
