Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

Ana is a fantastic person with a big heart and lots of knowledge about plants and flowers in the surrounding area. We were so lucky to have a sloth in the trees and and could even watch the armadillo in the garden. The colorful birds were just amazing. A great place to stay and calm down. Thank you Ana!!!

Great food, amazing views and hiking trails in the jungle. Definitely the best chocolate in Costa Rica! Pablo and Anna are knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. The views and the chocolate tour experiences are the best parts about a stay at La Anita.

The genuine kindness of our hosts was really moving.... Letting us taste different types of juices...helping us to plan our visit to the volcano areas and helping our son who had a skinburn on his arms. The lodge itself is very authentic. The garden benefits from more than 40 years of carefully maintenance with lots of love..with flowers and trees you think you find yourself in a botanical garden. Hummingbirds are flying around your head during breakfast. And finally...the food was gorgeous...homegrown vegetables and fruits and produces such as ricotta cheese..very royal quantities...your own grand mother would not have spoiled you so well. A beautiful small hotel in the "forest". Everything, especially, the breakfast area is surrounded by trees, plants, flowers. Amazing place. Breakfast was rich and tasty. The manager is extremely kind and speaks excellent English. Room was huge and WIFI was fast. They have private parking. Close to town and to a few restaurants.

the hot spring pools with Rincon de la Vieja view and 24-hour flowing water, which comes from the volcano. The temperature of the pools are different, so you could choose the one that fits you. Very friendly persons. The food tastes also good 👍 a surprise experience here. Be careful ! The main entrance is just on the main road. Don't always trust Google maps, he may accidentally send you to the back door.

beautifull jungle walk in the property with access to the beautifull river. Tucans and other birds visited us every morning. two minutes from the villa, is one of the nicest walks to a great watrfall.

We stayed two nights, and the lodge is excellent. We had dinners both days, which were very good. Great staff. We enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder, some toucans showed up. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The gardens, the hot and cold pools, and the thermal waters are just BEAUTIFUL. Love that you can stay in the pools til 10pm, it's so atmospheric sitting in them at night, with subtle lighting and the sounds of the night forest and gentle music around. Beautiful, large rooms, fantastic bathroom and ample space for hanging clothes. Lots of towels too. Totally recommend this wonderful place.
