Exceptional location a bit further and quieter from crazy Drake Bay. We had the bungalow with the traditional roof made of fishtail palm leaves and could just open the door to see the waves crash on the rocks just in front of it - dreamy!! Outdoor shower: nothing to top that! The food was so nice, especially the traditional Tico breakfast and the pastries omg! Staff was super kind and helpful. The best part about Jungla del Jaguar is without a doubt their guide Yasnir. Yasnir is very knowledgeable and passionate. He has also many interesting and intense stories to tell about his wildlife encounters in and out of the national park! Make sure to build up a minimum of physical condition before going on the Corcovado daytrip, it is quite a challenging hike with walking up (and down) a lot of muddy hills, and you will be walking 6 to 7 hours in hot and humid conditions! (With the awesome wildlife and forest beauty distractions, needless to say it's totally worth it).

This place is at the end of the road with a delicious restaurant that delivers just 1km away. It is isolated however that is what makes it sooo amazing. The wildlife and the garden and the gorgeous sand beach just outside the garden made it truly feel like Eden. Parrots and toucans all over as well as soo many other birds. The owener offered us a nature walk however our hiking boots were soaked from day before so we chose to go swimming and play in the waves instead. This was a huge highlight of our trip. There was a king and queen bed that were very comfortable surrounded by huge patio doors that open up to either screen doors or you can also open up and be in the open There is a fully equipped kitchen also and a large bathroom that had warm shower. The AC was perfect ..the owners were soo pleasant and attentive to all our needs they are both very sweet. You do have to cross 2 small rivers (in Dec) that felt a bit daunting however the oweners were super wonderful and met us there so we followed them through that part especially since it was night when we arrived however the next day I realized they were not that daunting even after huge rain

We have been home 2 weeks but we are still dreaming about our stay at Kinkajoungalows. From start to finish the stay was perfect. A welcome committee of strong men met our boat from Sierpe to help with our luggage. We were looked after like this for the whole of our stay by the perfect hosts. The family team never imposed on our privacy and were very discreet but were always available when we needed any help. Samuel was incredibly helpful and responsive providing answers to all our questions. The lovely little bungalows are well positioned for each guests privacy and with balconies overlooking the jungles.Just sitting on the balcony we saw Monkeys, Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, a Tapir and an anteater. The rooms are perfectly comfortable , nicely decorated and very well equipped. We loved the location just a few steps from a secluded paradise beach, where you could lay in a hammock to enjoy a cocktail and watch the fabulous sunsets. We didn't venture very far as the immediate area was so wonderful that we didn't want to to rush around,. We wanted to enjoy the relaxed mood and savour the moment. We simply relaxed , enjoyed the simple home cooked food., ad being looked after by the staff. We are now desperate to return and hope to have the opportunity to spend more time there to further explore the area, or simply enjoy this very special place ! A thank you to Kenya who helped me out by giving me a tube of Aloe Vera Gel when I stupidly got sunburnt on the snorkeling trip to Canos islands.

A fantastic location close to Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park. The family owning the place is doing a great job, the rooms are made every day, the food tastes very good and they give advices and organize tours if requested. All this for a very fair price for the area. I recommend the place to everyone looking for a simple, yet very nice and authentic accommodation.

Wonderful place, the family took great care of us and helped in every way they could. We had two small children and they enjoyed the environment, food and interaction with the children of the family. The beaches are phenomenal and overall just a magical place. Happy to have chosen to go a bit further than Drake bay where most people stay - since we often felt like the only people in the world on our explorations.
