The property was so beautiful, it was a slice of heaven. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and loved every minute. It was located on the end of town but we loved that since it was such a busy area, Casa Cecelia was quiet and peaceful. While the property was on the outside of town there was a Super (convenience store with liquor, groceries and other convenience items) a short walk away. There were also a couple very good restaurants within walking distance that we visited more than once. Rocomar was right on the beach with so much seating and the best view you could ask for of the sunset and Nectar was fancy and expensive but had huge portions and the food was incredible. Breakfast at the resort had several options and was always delicious. Anabel, the manager was lovely and so helpful. She helped us organize a lovely excursion. We didn't get to see any, but we were told turtles come right up on the beach and nest. We got up early trying to see them nesting or hatching. It was exciting even though we didn't see any ourselves. beach was stunning, lots of shade, lots of chairs

The close location to playa Hermosa was the best part of staying in Lua Villas. The second best was the pool. The villas were great. My only recommendation would be for the kitchen to be better supplied include a pan for cooking eggs, fish, etc. A toster oven or microwave. A big pitcher for fresh fruit punches.

What a great place to stay! We loved our bungalow and breakfast served right at our door! The staff were amazing and gave us great tips when we got there! Super close to the beach and a fun walk to the main area of Santa Teresa! Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely Outstanding Stay – for me and my entire family! A Perfect Experience from Start to Finish I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything I needed—including a super comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and a great view. Housekeeping was consistent and meticulous, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. also really appreciated the quiet and calm atmosphere throughout the hotel, making it easy to relax and recharge.     We had a fantastic time at the beach this weekend!

    We had a fantastic time at the beach this weekend! It’s perfect for surfing with super cool waves. However, be cautious if you’re traveling with kids. The beach wasn’t too crowded, and there are several restaurants right in front, so you don’t need to leave the beach for food and drinks. I really enjoyed that convenience!

    Americanized beach town. Crowded waters to surf. Really bad infrastructure, roads are bad, no sidewalks and caos in traffic. The beach itself is very beautiful and the waves are nice. Just the vibe is either you love it or you hate it.

    Santa Teresa for us was a completely disastrous in terms of development. I cannot even imagine anyone wanting to live there. The scenery once you get beyond the mishmash of stores 3 centimeters from the really poor roads is wonderful. It is a surfer place and nothing more. I would not ever go back for any reason

    Santa Teresa has the most beautiful beach.

    Santa Teresa has the most beautiful beach. There are so many places to eat that have great food. Santa Teresa does not feel as crowded as some other beaches in Costa Rica, and I honestly feel very safe there. I would highly recommmend this place.

    The property is amazing.

    The property is amazing. The pool is super cute, the rooms are spacious and modern. BUT the Beach Club/Restaurant charged us for things we didn’t order. We will always pay for everything we eat and drink but when things are added on our bills that we didn’t consume, we regretfully are super bitter. The hotel is looking into it and said they will get back to us. They have t yet. Also, they advocate that they are an adult only hotel but there were kids at the restaurant and at pool.

    Best value for money you will find in Santa Teresa. Tropico Latino is an excellent beachfront hotel that offers breakfast at the beach restaurant. They are always doing the little extras to make you happy. The staff is so friendly, thanks to Guadalupe and Andreas from the reception and all the waiters at the restaurant. The food is excellent. The room was so spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillow (!!). For some reason, most hotels have horrible pillows, but here they were great. Yoga and training offers and facilities are so great!

    Perfectly situated, less then 5 Minutes walk to the beautiful beach (stunnig Beachbreak, with enough Peaks for everyone, nice Vibe in the Lineup-if you‘re into surfing). Great pool, very clean, AC in the rooms. The whole staff is AMAZING, funny, helpful, careful… feels like family. Free Yoga classes in morning, if you want to by awesome teachers. I planned to stay for one week, extended to 16 days… in my opinion definetly the best place to stay in beautiful Santa Teresa.

    Location is on the road parallel to the beach, so you’re super close to the Santa Teresa beach and to many cafes and restaurants. Our private room was a good size with AC and was very comfortable. We had a shared bathroom but I think that it was only shared with one other room. The pool is super nice and although we did not try the yoga, it looked very nice as well. There is parking.
