The property is incredible, and the host is wonderful. It’s a wonderful way to reconnect with the nature. A lot of animals and plants of any kind. Breakfast was extremely fresh because came directly from the garden. Also the host makes the most incredible beers, and he offered them to us. The place is also very kids friendly and our 3-year-old daughter loved our stay there.

The hosts spoke great english and were super nice, they basically booked the tickets to Irazú volcano for us, told us all about the bus there, let us leave our baggage after check out with them and made us a great breakfast for a reasonable price. The room was clean, the bathroom too and beds were fine. They were really sweet and had a cute cat! :-)

The two most important things to me are the helpfulness of the owner and the comfort of the accomdiations and I give 5* rating on both measures. Berna is a lovely lady and provides lots of good advice and excellent recommendations. The property is her old family home and has a genuine Spanish appeal with a combination of wood and tile providing a very warm atmosphere. Guests have the full use of the kitchen to prepare their own meals and a dedicated shelf in her fridge. The bedroom was comfortable with a separate entrance to a front patio overlooking lush landscaping. The property has a solid wooden door at the front proving excellent security. Berna has a deep concern for her guests. I was a bit late coming home one evening and she messaged me to make sure I was OK. Fantastic vale for the quality that Casas Irazu offers guests. Thank you Berna for your kindness and hope we meet again.

Ruth and Andreas are a wonderful host. We experienced a warm and natural hospitality and great advice what to do. The rooms are fantastic, like luxury treehouses. The first you see when you wake up in the morning is green and pure nature. Superb the swiss breakfast with home made crunchy bread. The backyard was wonderful to chill out, even the road in front of the house was busy. We felt peaceful and relaxed. The house is close to Walmart, so it’s convenient for family. In addition, the host is helpful and thoughtful. We appreciated his hospitality.
