A peaceful relaxing village with very friendly people, it's a good base for seeing the mountain areas of Cyprus, including many wineries and not too far from the coast if you want a day by the sea. Be prepared for the shortage of local shops and the fact that tavernas and the coffee shop are not open every day - take supplies with you. Relax and enjoy.Guest review byBarbaraCyprus - 10.0
We came just for one night and as it rained and was after...
We came just for one night and as it rained and was after 19:00 the local taverns were closing. We didn't have an opportunity to dine out. But the staff at the hotel was so helpful, they organised us dinner with cheese platter and ravioli in out room. It was so romantic. We enjoyed it. It's a very pretty village - traditional with nice coffee shops and tavernas. However, it is quite hard going if you arent too fit / have disabilities and because it isn't in the top of troodos, it's still quite hot until about November time. A lovely Heritage village.
A lovely Heritage village. Vouni means little mountain and it lives up to it's name. The people are very nice and most speak English. There is still a strong feeling of traditional Cyprus here and they celebrate various festivals. The name day for Mary took place whilst I was there .. as important as Christmas and a Bank Holiday. The village got together for a night if singing which was very special to listen to. I was welcomed into several homes and given free coffee in the Kafeneion. I now regard the owner of the property as a friend and thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I am already planning my return. You will need a car and be prepared to travel for an average 49 minutes but the roads are good, little traffic, low speed limits and the scenery is stunning.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Lovely hotel, very pretty village, beautiful views and a great place to explore. A beautiful room with a very large jacuzzi and wonderful staff. Could not be more helpful and a great range of gins. I felt taken care of the same way my own mother does, but much less invasively. :-) Mrs. Phaedra runs a small restaurant downstairs and is a great cook. I recomend buing a dinner made by her. She has also given us many good tips what to see around Vouni and borrowed me her joga mat for my morning streches. Vouni is a mesmerising and charming town, and Oinochori is a wonderful location to stay there. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed, from a chilling pool outside to a balcony to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Andros is a great and relaxed host.
